Peace, Love, & Joy – Tag Challenge

It’ Donna with a2z Scrapbooking  challenge which is “Make It A Tag”! I hope you have had a chance to join the fun.  You have to use at least one Hero Arts image on your card. Please go to the a2z blog and see what the talented design team has created. You can add your project to the inlinkz  here.

Here is my take on the tag challenge.

Joy Stamp & Cut_Sept 2016 Joy Stamp & Cut1_Sept 2016

Here is how I assembled the tag card:

I am using the Hero Arts Joy Stamp and Cut set.  The tag is the new Hero Arts Nesting Tag Dies.   I made the tag into a card, I took at piece of paper 4 x 5 and scored.  I then took the die and placed it on the paper, making sure the top of the tag was above the scroe line. I added the layers on the tag.  I die cut the joy out of some red cardstock, I placed it on the tag where I wanted it to be and stamped the sentiment.  To finish the tag, I added some ribbon, twine and some little bells I had in my stash.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code “Donna15” to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge this month! You will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store! Good luck and please come back again soon!

Coffee Loving Fall Hop & Giveaway

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Giveaway

Heeyyy, yooouuu guyyyys! Chark here today to join in the wonderful Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. What a great community of caffeinated, creative people this is! a2z Scrapbooking is happy to be a sponsor and offer prizes for the Fall Hop. And I get to join in today with this project.

I used my Boo Stamp and Cut for the little black ghost die cut, and colored him with a dark purple Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen…love the shine of these! The cup is from the digital Caffeine Fix set, and when I saw how the ghosts looked in vellum, they reminded me of steam, so I had to add them!

The sentiments are also from the Boo Stamp and Cut set. It’s pretty popular, so if it’s sold out in the store, all you have to do is hit the aqua Request Custom Order button and ask for it or anything from the Hero Arts catalogs! We can get it for you at no additional cost for requested items.

Our fabulous Design Team is joining in with the hop and you can check out their blogs here. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello everyone,

How about a coffee cup cake?  Hehe.. that would be nice!  I used Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag clear stamp set and the matching frame cut to create a cup cake on a tag.  Let’s see it.

Here’s a close up:

Doesn’t the frosting look yummy?!🙂

My process:

  • Trim white card stock into tag.  Stamp Hero Arts Sweet Sprinkles Bold Print with clear embossing ink.  Let dry.  Sponge Broken China all over tag, concentrate on edges.
  • On white card stock stamp the cup from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag set with Broken China.  Use the coffee sleeve die from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag Frame Cut and die cut the cup cake portion.  Distress with Broken China and Milled Lavender.
  • Stamp the foam from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag set with Hero Arts mid-tone shadow ink Butter Bar on white card stock.  Die cut using the matching frame cut, use scissors and trim the cup (bottom) part.  Sponge and distress with Squeezed Lemonade.  Add clear Wink of Stella.
  • Stamp greetings using both Coffee Cup Tag set and Many Birthday Messages set with Tuxedo Black on tag.
  • Assemble and adhere cup cake to tag.  Add small die cut embellishments, thread and tie twine.

Card and Tags - Christmas wreath

Hero Arts Wreath card and tags

Dawn here to share a Christmas card and some tags I have made with Hero Arts Wreath stamp and die set (SB120 – they can also be purchased separately CL970 stamps and DI152 die cuts)

Hero Arts Wreath

I die cut a panel using a Kaisercraft die.  I stamped the layering wreath using a variety of inks – Hero Arts and Altenew and then added some red embossed dots and a few gold embossed stars.   I gold embossed the bow and die cut it.  The sentiment was stamped with red ink and clear embossed.   I’m very thankful for the help from MISTI.  It really makes layering stamps easy.   I then used some stamps from Hero Arts DC 187 Peace Stamp & Cut set to stamp the little bird (fussy cut) and the remainder of the sentiment.

And of course as our challenge this month is “Tags”  I couldn’t resist to use the Wreath set to make a couple of tags

Wreath Tags

One was stamped directly as a one layer tag and the second on used a die cut wreath, bow and berries.  Die cut using a CAS-ual Fridays die.  (Hero Arts have some lovely tag dies as well HERE)

Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies

Tag Me With Coloring Layering Butterflies

I thought of silver butterflies; I don’t know why.  But I went with it and I was happily surprised at the results.  The silver embossing just shines, but I couldn’t catch the sparkle just right.  I hope you enjoy the butterflies just flitting by on these tags.

Here’s a close up:

My process:

  • On white card stock, ink and stamp in layers the orchid, and then die cut using the match frame cuts.
  • Here are the colors break down: for the purple strand of flowers, stem: Lime Green, flower: bottom layer (Milled Lavender), middle layer (Light Purple), top layer (Dark/Grape Purple); for the pink strand of flowers, stem: Field Greens, flower: bottom layer (Pink), middle layer (Ultra Pink), top layer (Crimson); for darker shade leaves cluster from bottom to top: Mint, Field Greens, Green, for lighter shade leaves cluster from bottom to top: Lime Green, Green Hills, Field Greens.
  • Trim brown card stock into tag.  Stamp Old Letter Writing in Unicorn onto tag.
  • Stamp ‘hello’ with Unicorn and heat emboss with white EP.

Deer Friend

Hi Stampers!

Ilina here today with a simple deer card using the Color Layering Deer from the holiday catalog. I stamped bunch of deer using my MISTI tool and die cut them.

For the antlers, first I stamped with Soft Brown ink using my MISTI tool, then using the Caramel ink and removing some color using a clean towel I stamped the darker spots. I love how you can achieve an ombre look using this technique. Next I stamped a snowy background onto vellum and embossed with the new Puffy embossing powder and using Versamark marker I added spots on the deer I would like embossed.

Because this was “wintery” card I decided to add the puffy embossing powder and get fun texture. Next I pulled everything together, stamped the sentiment and let it dry overnight. Once it’s dry you are good to go😉

Head to the A2Z Store to purchase the new Hero Arts release and the items I am using today. Use the code “Ilina15” in order to get 15% off your order of $25+ ( if something sold out, you can place an special order!)

Hawaiian Christmas with Hero Arts Destination Stamp

Hello again!  Niki G. here with a Hawaiian themed card using Hero Arts Destination Hawaii stamp.  (sorry it was in the store when I created the card, but there’s still San Francisco and Seattle or you can special order!)

I inked up the destination stamp and used a tag die cut to get the part of the stamp I wanted for the scene.  I colored with copics and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Christmas Messages.

I added the sweet little Santa’s Sleigh on top (definitely another special order you can place in the a2z Scrapbooking store).  The twine and background paper is from Lawn Fawn.

That’s my card for today.  I hope you’ll join this month’s challenge: Make it a Tag!  You’ll have a chance to win $25 to the a2z Scrapbooking store!!

Mahalo for stopping by!

Ornaments Card and Mini Tags

Good morning crafty friends… Helen is here today. I’d like to share with you an ornament card and some mini tags that I created using Ornaments Stamp and Cut set.

This stamp and cut set is not only for cardmaking, but also for other paper-crafting projects. You can stretch your stamps and die sets for different projects. The sky’s the limit!

To make the mini tags, first, I cut out the cardstock in 1.5″ wide and 5″ long and then folded it in half. Then I added the dies slightly off the folded edge.

Then I ran it through the die cutting machine. I did these steps for green and red cardstock.

This is how they look after cutting. You will have the folded edge uncut.

After all the cardstock was cut, I started stamping the matching the stamp on each shape with VersaMark ink pad. Then I added some Gold Embossing Powder and heat set them with a craft heater.

You also can reverse the steps if you feel more comfortable with stamping the images first then cutting them out.

I used my WRMK hole puncher to add the hole for strings. I used some of the ornaments on the card with natural twine for the string on the card. Then I embellished them with some gems. I cut out a couple labels out of the matching cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment that comes from the the same stamp set.

Some of them I use as mini tags. They are super cute🙂 I hope this projects can give you some inspirations to play along with our monthy challenge: Make It A Tag. By linking up your projects, you have a chance to win $25 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.

And, whenever you shop for Hero Arts products and crafting supplies at a2z Scrapbooking store, you can use this code Helen15 , to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (exclude shipping).

THANK YOU for visiting today and have a fabulous day!

Kelly’s S’Mitten & Christmas Messages

I’m so glad that a2z is hosting this month’s “Make it a Tag” Challenge!  Christmas is getting closer and I wanted to start building my stash of holiday gift tags.

I used the new Hero Arts Mermaid Ombre AF365 Ink Pad and just swiped it down 3 of these tags, then added some Hero Arts Silver embossing powder on one and stamped the others with Hero Arts Black Dye Ink.  I used Hero Arts Kelly’s Smitten Stamp and Cut DC193 along with Hero Arts Christmas Messages CM100 for the sentiments.  I finished them off with dots of Nuvo glitter drops and some silver twine from my stash.

I hope you will have time to join us this month for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2zscrapbooking store.  Just remember to use one main Hero Arts product and link up your card HERE.  Good Luck!

Don’t forget, you can use code Angie15 to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (excluding shipping) at the a2zscrapbooking store.  The new release products are in the store now so have fun shopping!
