Hero Arts Paper Layering Heart

Happy Saturday everyone,

My “Layer It” project today have minimal stamping but still look labor intensive!  LOL!  I decided to layer some die cuts together, and to help facilitate the process I used some double sided pattern paper.  Let’s take a look:

My process:

  • Trim white card stock into 5 by 5 inches square card base.   Set aside.
  • Trim pattern paper into two rectangles, one slightly large then the other.  In this case the brick red solid piece is larger.  I choose rectangle to fit the pattern I wanted which is beige rectangle with brick red pattern with chocolate frame.
  • Put smaller pattern panel pattern side up on cutting pad, place Hero Arts Paper Layering Heart die on left side aligning the straight edge toward mid point of panel, pass thru die cut machine.
  • Life alternate layers, fold back and adhere to the right side of the panel.  Glue panel with die cut on solid panel, then glue panel onto card base.
  • Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment with white EP.
  • Die cut ‘love’ from the Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Love set three times on white card stock, glue together and adhere to die cut panel.
  • Add Sprinkled Sugar Stickles on ‘love’ die cut.

Easy peasy right?  Here’s a close up shot so you could see the Stickles.

I thought it’s a nice break to make a non-holiday card now we are all busy making cards for the up coming holidays.  The Paper Layering  Heart Die is really fun to play with and you could us it many ways including making gift topper.  And it is available at the store.  Use code Cindy15 to get 15% off any purchases $25 and more (shipping excluded) when you go shopping.  If the  Paper Layering  Heart Die is your cup of tea, there are other ones like as the Paper Layering Maple Leaf die, or the Paper Layering Snowflake die, or the Paper Layering Pine Tree, or check this link for more.

I have actually made another project with this pretty layering die, hop over to my blog Escape To Stamping to check it out.

Hero Arts Peace Ornament

Hi crafty friends.   Dawn here to share a layered card with you.  My card has a number of card layers.

Peace Ornament

I used some American Crafts card to make my main layers with some silver mirror card as mats.  The foiled layer is from a Heidi Swapp paper.  It is all the soft green colour (did not photography well!)  I had the clear embossed piece on my table ( mine is not a Hero Arts stamp but THIS one is perfect to use .)   I die cut the ornament (DC166 Merry & Bright Tag Set) from the silver mirror card and then die cut the PEACE (DC187 Peace Stamp and Die) from the green card and stamped the rest of the sentiment in Archival ink

NOTE: both of these  popular Stamp and Die sets are currently Out of Stock at a2z Scrapbooking, however you can CUSTOM Order it in the Store. Just click on the REQUEST CUSTOM ORDER form on the store HOME Page!)   This goes for pretty much ANY Hero Arts products that is still available.  If you can’t find it in the store, please feel free to ask!

Remember if you are in need of any items from the a2z Scrapbooking store  you can use code Dawn15 at checkout to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more. Antique Poinsettia

Antique Poinsettia Colored In

I’m featuring The Antique Poinsettia again because it’s a different take on the stamped image than my October 4th card.  I love the die cuts that go with this wood stamp.  It cuts nice and close, perfect for me.  I rarely use stenciling and I’m not sure why because I have some stencils I just love.  I thought the background color was more of a modern take on green.   I also used the outer layer as leaves, where I used all the layers as flower parts before.    The background is the same color, but deepened in the two corners.   Have fun with your layering.

I thought a close-up might be nice so you can see the silver embossing and the Nuvo Crystal Glitter Drops.  I purchased the Glitter Drops from A2Z, so she might still have some left if you’d like to try them.  You can see how cleanly the dies cut here too.  As I said, I love the close cut.  I’m at A Bit of This and That.

Ombre Metallic Stamp Your Own Plant

Hello everyone,

Cindy here to share a card with some layering.

My process:

  • Press various distress ink pads on craft sheet and spritz with Perfect Pearl to create shimmery watercolor solution.
  • Press stamp from Stamp Your Own Plant clear set into the solution to pick up colors, stamp on watercolor paper.  Let dry.
  • Stamp some smaller images from Garden Flowers by Lia clear set on top.
  • Stamp large leaf from Stamp Your Own Plant using Hero Arts Ombre Vintage Metallic Rust Ink in middle of the watercolor panel.  This is my layering of the stamps!  :)
  • Die cut a rectangle panel at an angle.
  • Mount watercolor panel on kraft card base.  Align and adhere the die cut panel using foam tape as shown.

You could see the shimmer from the close up.

I really enjoy using the Ombre Metallic Rust ink pad, the color is rich and I love the shimmer.  And it is available at the store.  Use code Cindy15 to get 15% off any purchases $25 and more (shipping excluded) when you go shopping.

Hero Arts Holiday Pine Branches

Hello everyone,

It’s Donna here with a Christmas card for this month’s  challenge which is “Layer It”! I hope you have had a chance to join the fun. You have to use at least one Hero Arts image on your card. Please go to the a2z blog and see what the talented design team has created. You can add your project to the inlinkz here.

Here is my take on the tag challenge.  My card is an A2 card, My first layer is measured at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The red layer is 4 x 4 and the white layer is 3 7/8 x 3 7/8.  I stamped the pine branches from the Hero Arts “Holiday Pine Branches” with Hero Arts ink Forever Green and the red berries are stamped with Hero Arts Raspberry Jam.  I die cut the Peace from the “Peace Stamp and Cut” set.  I then used the sentiments from the Peace set and stamped the words with Hero Arts Black.  This set is out of stock in the store, but if you want to purchase it, just go to the store and on the left hand side you can put in a special order.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code “Donna15” to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge this month! You will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store! Good luck and please come back again soon!

Boo Stamp & Cut for Parties

Hi, friends, it’s Chark here today to show my little gift bag idea using the Boo Stamp & Cut set. I love the Stamp & Cut sets that come with a few stamps and the corresponding dies…so convenient.

I used the larger ghost die with vellum and then the small one with orange glitter paper. After I stamped the mini ghosts on the black cardstock, I added some of the face stamps. Fun! Some of the ghost stamps are used with first generation stamping, then some with second and third generation stamping, so I’d get a variety of looks for the ghosts.

Here’s a little hint—I used the White Unicorn Ink, which is a fabulous white ink, but it does take longer to dry, so don’t smear yours like I did. The little guy at the bottom looks like he has a headache, doncha think?🙂 Here’s a close-up of the non-smeared ghosties.

If you have the Boo Stamp & Cut, I’d love to see what you’ve done with it. If you don’t have it and want it, it’s only $10.20 in the store right now…look at all these cute face stamps you get with it.

And if you like the idea of a smaller stamp set with matching dies all in one set, you can get your own at the store, including this Antlers Stamp & Cut and this Merry Stamp & Cut, each costs $14.95. But, if you have a cart of $25 or more, you can use my super special code CHARK15 to get 15% off your cart!

Stamp & Cut sets are just one way to get stamps and matching dies together, we also carry the larger stamp sets paired with their matching dies. These cost a little more because they contain more and bigger stamps and dies.

Don’t forget to enter our October Monthly Challenge—Layer It! You could win $25 to the store.

That’s all for me today, have a great Monday!

1 Stamp Set, 1 Design, 2 Cards

Hello Crafty friends, it is Helen here today would love to share with you my cards using 1 stamp set and 1 design, but 2 different cards. Today, I am using the Color Layering – Deer stamp, from the new Holiday 2016 Catalogue.

On this first card, I stamped the Deer on a white cardstock with Distress Mini Ink Pad set 3, and then fussy cut it. But you always  can cut it out with the matching frame die set. Then I added it on the card with wood embossed background with 3D foam tape for some dimensional. I heat-embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock and then added it on the card with 3D foam tape. I added a piece of gold glitter ribbon for extra accent on this CAS card.

On the second card, it is simply watercolored, CAS and one layer card. For the card base, I used Canson Watercolor paper 140 lbs. And I stamped the deer with Distress Mini Ink Pad Set 3 and sprayed little bit of water on the inked stamp every time I stamped to create the faux – watercolor look on the deer.

And then I added some Broken China distress ink with wet brush to create the sky, and added some Vintage Photo distress ink with wet brush for the ground where the deer sit on. I used my craft heat gun to dry the panel completely before stamping.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and I added some leaves around the deer that I stamped with the new Hero Arts – Ombre Autum Ink Pad.

On both cards, I only use 1 stamp set and 1 design. Also, with Color Layering stamp sets, you can create gorgeous depth of colors and dimension to the image even though it is a one-layer card.

So, check out all the Color Layering stamp sets and their matching frame die sets at a2z Scrapbooking store. You can get 15% OFF your order of $25 when you use this code Helen15 at check out.

Hero Arts Holiday Animals

Hero Arts Holiday Animals – One Layer Card

Hero Arts Holiday Animals

Hi Everyone, Kristina here featuring the new Hero Arts Holiday Animals set! With so many fun images in this set I wanted to create a little scene to use as many of the stamps as possible! I thought it would be cute to have some of the animals getting ready to decorate the tree!

I stamped all my images and colored with copics, topped it off with some wink of stella (which I can never manage to capture in photo). I used a grey c3 copic to create a simple snowy landscape, and stamped my sentiment overtop.

Easy Peasy!

You can find this stamp set and many more Hero Arts goodies in the a2zscrapbooking store here If you don’t find what you’re looking for, just use the “Custom Order” button and they’ll make it happen!

Hero Arts Color Layering Orchid in a Pot

Have you had an opportunity to join us for our current monthly challenge at a2z Scrapbooking?

Our current challenge is

We’d love to see your creations. Just be sure that your focal image is a Hero Arts product.

When I saw the challenge “Layer It”, I thought (being the over-achiever that I am) that I would layer my stamping and use layers on my card. Hero Arts has a great assortment of Color Layering stamp sets and ink cube packs that make creating a multi-layer stamp image fun. There are many great products at the a2z Scrapbooking shop at Etsy

If you make a purchase of over $25, use my code Sue15 for a 15% discount.

Here’s my card

Hero Arts

I stamped the images of the stamp set and matted the cardstock with pink. I found a cool piece of “ribbon/weave/lace” that I thought would make a nice layer to add some texture to the card. I placed this all on a piece of olive/gray cardstock which was finally placed on my card. I couldn’t figure out where to put a sentiment, so I left this card without a sentiment – LOL!

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you  a Christmas card that I made combining two stamps sets from Hero Arts, the Happy Holly Days and Holiday Messages and Tags. This month our theme is layers and for this purpose I used the Nesting Rectangle Dies, also from Hero Arts. Take a look at my card:

Creating this card was very fun:

  1. Cut the base of the card using Real Red card stock. The size is 4-1/4″x11″ with score in 5-1/2″
  2. Cut a second layer using a decorated paper. I used the second size of the Nesting Rectangle Dies.
  3. Cut a third layer of very vanilla card stock using a medium size of rectangle, the size depends of the images that you want to stamp.
  4. Stamp on the upper part one image from the stamp set Happy Holly Days using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Paint the images with markers.
  5. In a separate piece of very vanilla card stock stamp the same image, paint it with markers and cut with scissors or with the corresponding die cuts. They are Happy Holly Day Frame Cuts.
  6. Paste the second leaves with dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the sentiment using Pine Bold Ink from Hero Arts.
  8. Paste the decorated layer over the card.

Simple and fun to make!

I hope you enjoy my project and it inspires you to use the Hero Arts to celebrate the season. On the a2z Scrapbooking Store you will find a lot stamps, die cuts and inks that you can use for all your projects.
