Hello Everyone ~ It’s Barb Ghigliotty, back with another Guest DT post. It’s been great fun playing with my water color paints and pencils over the past few weeks, but I welcome the change to a more traditional clean and layered design for this card.
Gerbera daisies are my all time favorite flower! I think it’s because in many ways, they are so perfect, they hardly look real. They come in almost every color, but my personal favorites are ‘peachy-pink’…hence, the inspiration for my card. And, of course they’re consistent with this month’s theme, ‘How Does Your Garden Grow’?
The new Hero Arts Hello Sunshine Daisies stamp set is fast becoming my go-to set when I want to create with flowers. I love the soft colors of spring and summer, so for my card, I stamped the largest and second largest daisies in Fresh Peach and the stems and leaves in Mint Julep. I fussy cut the flowers to give the card some dimension, and stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts silver ink. Lastly, I inked the edges of the white card base with Fresh Peach to match and added a touch of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the center of the flowers.
Don’t forget, you have until the 31st to link up your project to the Linky Party for your chance to win a $25. Gift Voucher at a2z Scrapbooking Supplies! Good luck!
