A Hero Arts Retailer

Thanks a Bunch

Hi there, Steph here! Have you joined in our July linky party yet?? This month’s theme is Anything Goes, so you can create whatever you’d like and share it with us! For today I made a fun one layer card using the Hero Arts Wildflower Garden stamp, which can be found at the a2z store HERE.

thanksabunchI wanted to create a watercolored look, but my watercolors weren’t working out too well for me, so I colored the stamp with Memento markers and then spritzed a bit of water on the stamp before I stamped it. I created a simple masked border around the edges + a strip for the sentiment, and then inked up the background with some distress inks. I stamped my sentiment from the Thanks a Bunch set and heat embossed in black. Lastly, I spritzed a light coat of shimmer over the entire card. (Here’s a tip: I create my own shimmer mist with Perfect Pearls + water in a spray bottle!)

I hope I’ve inspired you to create something (anything!) and join us for the July linky party! Need some new supplies to get creative? Check out the a2z store for all the best Hero Arts goodies!

Have a fantastic weekend!!

  1. Pretty card Steph and I also love this Hero Stamps. It’s an oldie but goodie and has always been one of my favorites!
I also love that “Marker Watercoloring Technique and use it often!!

  2. I love how you created your background and masked your front card panel, Stephanie! Your flowers look so pretty, each one in a different color, and the font on your sentiment is perfect! Thanks so much for sharing your Water Coloring Technique with us!

  3. Steph I just love how you used so many different colors with this stamp:)
