My sunshines, everyday! {Terhi}

Hello! It’s Terhi here, sharing my very first post as a Design Team member.

To be honest, I’m still a little confused of all this happiness I’m enjoying by getting into this fabulous team. There are so many talented artists here and I don’t know how to handle all the inspiration I’m having! Today I’m introducing this simple scrapbook layout with you. It includes several number of typical things and items I always like to use on my layouts – like thread, self-made background, stamping and splashes.

I started to build my scrapbook page by stamping. I used Hero Arts BasicGrey Pebbles background stamp and Hero Arts Neon Yellow Dauber. Did you know you can color your stamp with your Daubers and then press it against to your background? It easy and fun way to use your stamps! Using stamps this way the print won’t be as exact as it’s with dry inks, but it gives so much of texture, personal touch and color to your background. Try it, you won’t regret it!

The next layer is made with Hero Arts Neon Blue Dauber. I just hit it against to the background and got those beautiful splatters. Once they were dry, I continued stamping with Hero Arts India Ink in black.

On the background, there’s also some mesh tape and mists. Then lots of paper layers. All the papers got ink to their edges, to give a little contrast and deepness. There’s also thread and other embellishments, too.

There we have it – my first A2Z Scrapbooking layout. What do you think, it looks cool doesn’t it?

You are welcome to visit my blog here.

Thank you for looking!

  1. Terhi — Your layout is fabulous and you are a very gifted in your ability to make such a gorgeous scrapbook page!! I admire those who have the skill, as it’s something I can not do well! I love cardmaking, but when it comes to creating wonderful layouts…it’s not me! Clearly you ROCK!!

    • Hi there! I disagree! You must be a good scrapbooker if you can do cards – I mean, all the techniques are the same. I made a little video, from start to finish scrapbook page and you can see it here on this A2Z blog on 18th August! Hope you’ll watch and be inspired. I will use all basic stuff there, stamping, pencil doodling and papers – nothing extreme 🙂
      Also, my YouTube channel can give some tips how to get started: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZoBDZGyaqeaGtT_1L8nr-A

      Thank you for your lovely comment, and I hope you’ll give a chance to scrapbooking – once you try, you’ll never quit! ❤

  2. I absolute love this layout!!! Very well done! xo

  3. This is so beautiful! I love all the texture! And the pic is adorable too 🙂

  4. Beautiful page. I love all the texture you used. I do scrapbook but I have tried the media art look but I just do not have to much luck with it. Wonderful job and look forward to see more of your work.

    • Hi Ann! Thank you for your lovely comment! Come back on 18th August and I’ll show a video about my creating process 😉

  5. Hey Terhi!! Your scrapbook page is amazing. I use to scrapbook when my son was born and did a little when I had my daughter but stopped when she turned 2. I need to start again. Your my inspiration.
