Happy Thursday every one!
It’s Ria here today and it feels great to do my first blog post at a2Z Scrapbooking.
For today, I’m sharing an altered pouch to hold some items to brighten someone’s day.
I have a number of white pouch packaging that I used before to hold my cards but decided to do something on it rather than keeping just the plain base. My supplies I think are readily available to everyone’s craft stash. Some can even be altered to whatever supplies you already have on hand.
First up is to inked a background stamp to decorate the front pouch. I find the Leafy Vines stamp to work perfectly on this but you can also use small stamps that you can randomly stamped over the panel.
You can use any ink pad, mine uses distress inks which give this touch of watercolor-look to the vine leaves although I didn’t spray them with water. The smaller pouch however was inked up with Hero Arts dye ink.
You can build the ink coloring too from darkest to lightest or vise versa. You can experiment and try out things along the way. It’s fun working on colors and stamping so there should be no hard and fast rules on how you do alterations.
I then diecut a shape to put my sentiment which I heat embossed with silver as you see here
I also stamped some colored hearts to give the pack more bright colors to it. The hearts were fussy cut after stamping and was adhered with foam dimensional, and the other one was adhered with liquid glue.
A fabric tape or a lace can also be used to add some texture to a flat base. Some pearls will also add some touch of prettiness to it 🙂
To enclose the pouch, I used a ribbon to tie the ends while the smaller pouch was closed using washi tapes instead since it is made of a lighter weight paper.
So what’s inside my pack? I have a card to make someone smile and I also have a pack of chocolates to put in which I think will be appreciated by my recipient.
And here is my stamped pouch ready to give given away to a friend. This can easily be mass produced and can be used to hold party favors for birthdays, anniversary or other occasions. You can change the stamp theme to whatever occasion you will be using them for.
Until then and I’ll catch up again with you soon 🙂

Hi Ria — What a fun and creative idea! Even though I am a card-maker, I always enjoy seeing all kind of wonderful paper-crafting projects and this is one that I actually may be able to create myself!! I also just HAPPY to LOVE that wonderful background stamp and just used it this week for some new cards ! Thanks for a fun and unique idea and welcome once again to the Design Team !

Hi Ria ~ Welcome to the z2z Scrapbooiking Design Team!
What a lovely idea to brighten someone’s day! I love that you chose the Leafy Vines stamp for the white bag, and how you layered different ribbons for each bag! I also love the little heart die cuts…they are so pretty!
Thanks so much for sharing your clever ideas with us!
