You’re a HOOT

Hello Friends!! Welcome to the blog, It’s Chitra (from My Craft Corner) here with a new post for you all. So excited to write my very first post for the blog. The current challenge theme for this month is “Encouragement”, so I made a card which goes with the theme..

For my card background I first masked the circle where I wanted my image to be and then placed my HA’s “Tweed” stencil and added the colors with distress inks and sponge daubers. When I was happy with the colors I then stamped the dots on top of the stencil to give some interest. Then I removed the stencil to reveal the magic (you know how it feels 😉 ). The image is from HA’s “Lil Hoot” which is stamped inside the circle with Memento Tuxedo Ink and I colored with copics.

Hoot 1

I have used two different (parts of) sentiment to make my own sentiment, that’s the joy of clear stamps…. right.? Also I have scored the outline of my circle just to define it.

Hope you enjoyed todays card. If you are interested in any of the products I used on my card or any other amazing products from the store, please feel free to use my DT Promo Code: CHITRA15 and you will receive a 15% OFF(Excluding Shipping).

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to play with our current challenge!! Have a happy weekend!!

  1. Hi Chitra, and welcome to the Team! I love the bright, fun colors you chose for your stenciled background, and how beautifully you colored those darling owls! I also love how you scored around the circle to add definition and that you added all those lovely, sparkly sequins! This card will definitely brighten someone’s day!
