Hello everyone!
It’s Ria here and today I’m sharing three cards using Hero Arts Artistic Circles digital kit.
Just to warn you that I have lots of photos to show so expect longer scrolls in this post 🙂
Once you ordered the kit, its instantly downloadable so you can prepare your project layout right away. One thing I love about digital kits is that you can select the images as you like, resize them as you need to for the project and easily printable. Note that you cannot however alter the original design image as part of its policy. This applies to other digis in other kits you may purchase.
So now, a quick look in the supplies I used for the cards.
The printed two panels of the circles, one in black & white and the other the bluish gray colored that is already included in the kit. I just need to reduce the size a little smaller than the standard A2 card.
For Card # 1, I arranged the circles in random. I’m using the graphic software called Illustrator but you can use Word Document to resize and open the files to design and arrange these circles.
Remember, you don’t necessarily need a graphic software like Illustrator to use digi kits. Its just that I have these in my computer as I also use them at work.
For the layout, I arranged them in a way that the circles are bigger in the middle then filling in the spaces around it. I thought that’s nice. I then colored the circle parts with markers. You can also color the other areas of the circles like the one in the middle but in my case I want to keep more white spaces. My color inspiration are the same buttons I’m using as embellishments.
This is the piece after I colored the circles. I then stamped the sentiment in a patterned paper and arranged them in the panel to see how everything will fit. I used those bright buttons to add texture and color to the piece.
Here’s a closer look at the coloring. I also added buttons and gray shadow over the circles to pop them a bit in the white base. I also added some faux stitching for a finish look.
For Card # 2, I used the bluish gray background and also printed the tags that comes along with the kit. Here I put the buttons and gems in the areas I wanted them to be.
I punched a silver eyelet in the tags and added twine since it will be too flat without any detail on it. My intention is to give more focus on the circle digi so I still keep minimal embellishments. I colored the blue circle on the tag through Photoshop but you can also print them in black & white and colored them with markers or colored pencils.
A closer look at the gems. I selected some areas mostly the mid ones to put them in.
For Card # 3, I also colored the circles in Photoshop and arranged the circles similar to Card # 1. I just cut them in a tilted shape for some variety.
I also stamped the card base with Woodgrain background. It will be nice too to have some designed stamp peeking behind.
I also stamped the sentiment on top of the circle design.
I added Wink of Stella for some subtle glitz to this card. That luster looks really good in real life 🙂 Love that
A look into each card:
And here’s the three cards altogether. Which one do you like best?
