Just Because….

Hello everyone!! Kymona here from Kreative Kymona, with a cute “Just Because” card that combines two Hero Arts products, which is what for our current challenge!!

Before I begin, I want to let all of you know that the winner for September’s challenge will be announced at noon.

The following stamp set that I used has such a pretty flower in the set.  It gave me a chance to sit and color the flower.  I even taped it for you to see how I colored and put the card together!  That’s a big deal, since this would be my second video ever!!

Take a look at my card:

Just Because 2

Tell me that flower doesn’t look amazing!!!

Here is how I created this card:

1. I cute my card stock to an A2 size (4.25 x 5.50). The pattern paper is cut to 3 x 4.50. The top white panel is cut to 2.50 x 3.75.

2. I colored my flower using Copic markers YR02, YR04, YR07 and Y15.

3. The sentiment was stamped and the flower attached with some foam adhesive.

4. I added some bakers twine between the flower and the sentiment.

5. The white panel is adhered to the card with foam adhesive.

6. I added the Diamond Gems for added inspiration and some Wink of Stella to the flower.

Nice simple and easy.

Now take a look at my video! Its in fast motion

So what do you think of my card?  I hope you decide to give this CAS card a try.

The items I used for my cards can all be found at the a2z Scrapbooking Store.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I used please head on over to the store and use the coupon code KYMONA15 to get 15% off your purchase.

I hope my card gives you some inspiration to participate in our Current Challenge.  It runs to the end of the month.  The theme is Any Two Hero Arts Products.  You have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.  Hope to see you there!

Hello, I’m Kymona Tracey. Who am I, you ask? I am a women who never slows down and loves it. Yes... I am the energizer bunny's sister! I just keep going and going (which is something that I am working on, if you follow my weekly wishes on my blog). I am a single mother of two wonderful children who are 8 years apart. My 16 year old son is a true self-made jock who plays every sport you can think of ! My 7 year old daughter is a real life princess who loves anything crafty and girly and absolutely hates anything related to sports. Talk about yin and yang! ...but I love it!! Besides running from one activity to another with them, I work full time at a hospital (public health background), facilitate a reading group at work, teach high school students on the weekends and have a huge love of learning new things. I’ve taken classes in photography, web design, knitting, scrapbooking and card-making. I love them all, however, my true passion is card-making. I was introduced to card making back in 2004 and haven’t turned back since. I started out as a hobbyist just making cards for family and friends. People were always ecstatic when they received a card from me. What they did not know was that it made me feel just as special to make a card for them. This passion pushed me into teaching card-making classes at work with a couple of coworkers who wanted to learn how to make projects for their families. In September 2013, I made a big leap and created my blog, Kreative Kymona. Besides being a mom, I think that this has been one of my most rewarding accomplishments. Just being able to share with my world community makes life so rewarding!

  1. This card is absolutely beautiful! I love the paper you chose to accent the awesomely colored flower and the white on white is fabulous! I do have a teeny tiny request……. I would like to watch the video at a slower pace. It’s a little fast and I really want to see how you did everything. Maybe I just haven’t had enough coffee this morning lol. Congrats on your 2nd video!!!! Maybe I will give it a try one day 🙂 Thanks for sharing this beautiful card AND the inspiration! Have a great day.

    • Hey Michele!! Thank you so much for your wonderful words and encouragement. I’m so glad you like my card. Yes, you are correct the video does need to be a slower. I have to confess, I like it fast only because you can’t see my mistakes. I know, I know that is crazy but I surely made a lot of mistakes while I was putting the card together. You would have laughed. I really appreciate your honest. For my next video, I will show it in real time. I have to learn how to edit, lol!!

  2. This is such a pretty and bright card, Kymona– ! I love Hero’s fun and “happy” style flower images and think you did a great job with this one! I also love you used such awesome vibrant colors! I think your design is wonderful and seeing the Polka Dots makes me happy. Something about polka dots, always makes me smile! I also am so proud of you for being another team member who is so good at creating videos, something I have wanted to try for ages.

I even bought a cute little flip video camera to try it for my blog and STILL have not done it! ??! I MUST get it out and put it to work! I’ve had it OVER a year and I guess it kind of scares me! 🙂 Hope I do as well as you did!!

    • Hey Lisa!! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. I am so glad to know that my card gives off such a great feeling. Yes, polka dots are the best as backgrounds, they never fail.

I’m not sure if I’m good at creating videos. I just started. That was my second one. I’m still rough around the edges. I would love to do a video in real time but I’m afraid of those. You will see all of my mistakes, lol. You need to just pull out that video camera and do it. That’s what I did. I used my iPhone to record that video. I want a really video camera. I would love to see you create a video.

  3. Beautiful card Kymona! Love the fast video! 🙂

  4. Really gorgeous card, Kymona! Your flower is so pretty, and I love how you layered your papers…so lovely!
Thanks so much for the video 🙂
