Holiday Card with Non-Holiday Stamps

Happy last day of November everyone! Jen here from Caffeinated Papercuts with a recap of everything going on this weekend here at a2z Scrapbooking. Today is the LAST DAY to enter our November Challenge, Anything Goes! There’s also our fabulous Scavenger Hunt to enter AND our Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale through tomorrow night. Wowza!

To prove that really, anything goes when it comes to stamping, I decided to make a holiday card without using a holiday stamp. Yup, no trees or snowflakes here, just some beautiful tone-on-tone stamping with one of my favorite background stamps.

Sadly, it looks like we’re sold out of the exact one I used in the shop, but any of the background stamps would work!

I inked up my stamp with Pale Tomato ink and stamped it on some red cardstock. From there I simply added my greeting heat embossed with the white Hero Arts embossing powder and some red & white twine.

The finishing touch was to round off the corners and I was done! A lovely CAS card for the holidays created with an everyday stamp. I love finding new uses for my stamps, don’t you?

Supplies:

Hero Arts Blush Folded Cards
Hero Arts White Embossing Powder
Hero Arts Pale Tomato Shadow Mid-tone Ink
Hero Arts Big Merry Christmas Stamp (the exact one I used is retired, but this would easily work!)
Hero Arts Large Flower Background
