Clean & Simple Water Coloring

7 Comments

Hi everyone,

It’s Barb here today sharing a card using our Challenge Theme for this month, ‘Water Coloring’! I consider myself a ‘Clean & Simple’ card maker, so water coloring has been known to instill panic in me when I venture too far…in fact, I took the online card class that was offered a few months ago, and I am now on my second package of Hero Arts water color paper with very little to show for it – Ha! Oh well, it’s all about experimenting, right?

Here is my card;

I Love You - Water Color

Please excuse the darkness of this photo. We have had overcast skies for the past few days and I had to use my light box to take this photo.

I stamped the butterfly with black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then, I applied my soft blue water colors, and die cut the butterfly and oval aperture. After I stamped the sentiment in Soft Granite ink, I mounted the front panel and added silver stars and gems. And, that was it…Clean & Simple water coloring!

I hope my card inspires you to take out your water colors and inks and try something new with your Hero Arts stamps or stencils! And, if you do, please feel free to enter your card in this month’s challenge by clicking on the link on the right hand side bar, or go HERE! You may enter up to five times to be eligible to win a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store with each entry.

As always, you are welcome to use Coupon Code BARB15 for 15% off your order of $25.00 or more (before tax and shipping) in the a2z Store! I am also including an “Inlinkz” product list at the bottom of this post to link you to all these supplies!

Have a wonderful day ~
