Hello and welcome back! It’s Kathy here again. I hope you’re having a great week!
I have been making Christmas and holiday cards lately, but decided to take a break and make a non-holiday card. Sometimes I challenge myself to make a really quick card, because to be honest, it typically takes me forever to make just one card. Let’s just keep that our little secret. 🙂
So for my card today, first I used a stencil and an embossing mat to run the cardstock through my Big Shot. This dry embosses the stencil onto the card stock. It’s very, very subtle so I included a close up photo so you can hopefully see it a bit better. I intentionally left the photo a bit dark so the dry embossing would be noticeable. Then I inked up the heart stamp (from the Brush Strokes set) with distress ink and sprayed it with water using my mini mister bottle and stamped it on the embossed cardstock. Spraying it with water before stamping it gives the stamp more of a water colored look. I did this three times with different colors of distress inks. I then stamped the greeting, added the enamel dots and adhered the white panel to a hot pink card base with dimensional tape. It was definitely one of the quickest cards I’ve made in quite some time!
