Trying Something New

Hi everyone,

Barb here to share a card I created trying something new! A few weeks ago, Laura Bassen  shared a card using a technique called Camouflaging Die Cuts, and later posted a  video on You Tube demonstrating this technique, so I thought I would try it myself. Here is my card:

Shine Brightly final

I used my Hero Arts Shadow Inks and Uppercase Alphabets for the technique and did selective inking for the embossed sentiment from ‘Written in the Stars’ stamp set. The alphas were die cut once out of the panel and 4 times out of white card stock and adhered together for one thick piece that was fitted back into the negative space. I love how it adds so much dimension to the card, even with all that white space. I have included an “Inlinkz” product list at the bottom of this post to link you to all these supplies!

The theme for This Month’s Challenge is ‘Use Something New to You’, and we would love for you to play along! You may enter up to five times to be eligible to win a $25,00 Gift Certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store with each entry.

And, as always, you are welcome to use Coupon Code BARB15 for 15% off your order of $25,00 or more (before tax) in the a2z Store.

Have a wonderful day ~
