Switch Up Your Coloring

Hello Crafters!

It’s Kelly here and since my mojo has been on a bit of a hiatus I thought today I would share with you a little bit of coloring.

When my mojo dashes off and leaves me behind I still try to make something. Often times this leads to just coloring but since I happen to love coloring it could be worse.

I created three cards for you all using the same stamp just colored in different ways to get fun new looks.

For my first card I stamped the outline flower and colored with my copics. I started on the outer edges leaving a white center on the petals. To add some detail I added some veins with a white gel pen. I outline all my images when I’m done with a copic multiliner. It really helps your image pop. Lastly, I added a shadow and some wink of stella in clear.

Here’s a close up.

For my second card I did the reverse and put my darkest colors in the center. A few white dots later and these blooms look really different from the ones above. Super easy 🙂

For my last card I colored the flowers from inside and outside. I left a white highlight in the middle but used my white gel pen to exaggerate it. Any of these styles of coloring are perfect if you’re new to copics. These ones look like pansies to me 🙂

I didn’t put a sentiment on the other two because I don’t have a use for them yet. Since these cards are  so general I try to leave the sentiment in case something comes up and I need a ‘break in case of emergency card!”

We can’t wait to see what you make!!

Hi guys! I’m Kelly. I’m married to a wonderful man named Craig and we have a gorgeous two year old son who is the light of my life. I can’t leave out our boxer/mastiff Molly who is my little one’s best friend. I’ve been cardmaking for about seven years and running my blog for around five. I am loving every minute of it! I’m a huge fan of clean and simple cards. I adore a good one layer card or building a scene. Also glitter, and lots of it
