Is It Time For A Coffee Break Yet?

Hi, crafty friends, it’s Chark here today with a Monday morning coffee break. I used a digi stamp set with a traditional stamp to make this coffee-themed card. Here’s the outside.

And here’s the inside. IMG_5482I have a couple of Starbucks cards that I need to send to my nieces in college and thought they could maybe appreciate the owl’s need for caffeine. With some well-placed under eye circles, this little guy starts to look a smidge desperate. I think he could use the Trenta size coffee.

I used Prismacolor pencils on the owl and then added the colorless blender pencil on top to smooth the pencil lines. I also added a bit of red pencil to the cup. I trimmed the wing off and repositioned it so he could hold onto the handle. The front lines are just doodled.

Coloring images and making them look just like you want is the fun part of coloring for me. I love the digi images for this…because you can also choose the size. I’ll be back later in the week with some more coloring.

Hope you’ll break out your coloring tools and Hero Arts stencils and stamps and get to work so you can enter our monthly contest to try to win the $25 gift certificate to the store…woo hoo! And don’t forget, the digital section of the store has a ton of great Hero Arts images that you can access much quicker than if you waited for the mail carrier and you can get right to coloring.

Happy Monday!
