Color Me Happy

Hi, friends, it’s Chark today with a colorful post. I decided to try applying the beautiful ink daubers straight to different materials to see how they worked. They aren’t paint daubers, and the inks are translucent so you can see the text peeking through under my dots of color on my card.

IMG_5668I applied Ultra Pink and Lemon Yellow Inks (in streaks) to a piece of vellum and then trimmed it to fit the card front. I also die cut the word “happy” from the Ultra Pink part of the vellum. I used the Lemon Yellow dauber to color a white doily and the little birthday banner. I took some paper flowers and applied the Ultra Pink, Tide Pool and Lemon Yellow inks and then layered them. The enamel dots finished off the card.

IMG_5685You can see I also used some of the yellow-inked vellum to stamp a butterfly in the Ultra Pink and to color another doily. The pink and yellow inks make an orangey color in the center where they overlapped. I’ll use these for a future product.

If you want to add a dash of color to your products (and aren’t a fan of colored pencils or markers), you can get these fun daubers and use their foam tips to color materials straight from the bottle. No brushes needed! And if you go to the a2z Scrapbooking Store, you can use CHARK15 as your super-secret code to get 15% off your shopping cart with $25 worth of products…how cool is that?

Hope you’ll join in our Color It In Challenge this month—you have til the end of the month to break out your Hero Arts products and start coloring!

There’s also an a2z Design Team call right now, so if you or someone you know would love to join our fun team, be sure to apply!

Happy Tuesday!
