A Hero Arts Retailer

Colored Monogram

The March Challenge at a2z Scrapbooking is Color It In!

I created some cards using one of the new Hero Arts Monogram stamps.  I stamped the *Illuminated W Alpha* with Versamark and then I colored over it with Peeled Paint & Worn Lipstick Distress markers (I love how it could be an *M* too) … the great thing about this technique is that no precision is required.

az032015-1wmI cut out the Monograms and then used a baby wipe to remove the ink from the embossed portion of the stamp (I colored a third one with Tumbled Glass).

az032015-2wmI chose coordinating papers from Basic Grey’s Hey Girl & Highline Collections to create three cards using this week’s Deconstructed Sketch.

For the green one I used a monochromatic palette.

For the blue monogram, I went with a funkier card palette with fun patterns.

az032005-4wmThe design for the pink monogram is vibrant and modern.  By using different colors and patterns, you can get three completely different looks using the same stamp & layout.

Remember, you can use Coupon Code STEPH15 for 15% off your order of $25.00 or more (before tax and shipping) in the a2z Store … and the a2z Store has the 2015 Hero Arts release in stock, including the whole range of fun Monograms.
