A Hero Arts Retailer

Welcome, Baby!

Today is National Baby Day! Now, I’m not sure how you celebrate National Baby Day—do you look at old baby pictures, hug a baby you know, buy a gift for a random baby, talk like a baby? I just dunno, but I’m going with “make a baby gift bag.”royals

And, apparently The Duchess of Cambridge timed her delivery just right! Happy Baby Day to TRH and Welcome, Baby Princess Windsor! How exciting!! If you’re sending them a card, maybe you should pick up this stamp set!

stampsbabyMy niece is expecting her first baby so I’ll need a gift bag soon. She hasn’t yet revealed whether it’s a girl or boy, but I’m leaning toward boy and so I went in that direction. I have until September, so I can always make a pink one if I have to, but I’m loving all the spring greens, so I went with blues and greens for this gift bag.

IMG_6189The gift bag (from Walmart) was already striped, and I added the tag to just make it that much prettier. I used the Happy die with blue glitter paper (if you look closely, you’ll see the glitter), the Numbers stencil (which is on sale for $4.00 right now!) with white paste and Broken China distress ink mixed in before application, and used a felt leaf from a package of embellies.

IMG_6196I thought about stamping the rest of a greeting with the happy, but then I figured “Happy” was just right for a baby gift tag! And the numbers are perfect to represent the date of the birth or the baby’s height and weight.

And don’t forget, today is National Scrapbooking Day and you can celebrate by entering our May Challenge, which is Anything Goes! All you have to do is use Hero Arts stamps, stencils, inks and/or die cuts and link up here by the end of May…that gives you plenty of time to create…and you’ll have a chance to win $25 to the store! Now, that’s something to celebrate. You can make a scrapbook page, a card or a tag…anything goes! Check out the store for some fabulous sales on inks, stamps, stencils and embellies too! You can use CHARK15 to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more…Happy Scrapbook Day!

Hope you have a lovely National Baby Day!
