Aloha friends and Happy Saturday!
Have you seen our latest challenge “Texture?”
Niki G. here to share a card I made using some Ranger Texture Paste and
one of my favorite Hero Arts color Tide Pool!
Here’s how it all began…
I first die cut a circle in the card front, but left the die cut in while applying my texture paste.
(I removed the die cut circle after, and saved it for another project)
I placed this fun Hero Arts BasicGrey Medallion Patterned Stencil slightly at a slant
on my card front and taped down. I don’t own a craft mat, but I used a heavy duty
sheet protector as a slick surface to mix the Tide Pool dauber with the texture paste
to create a super pretty colored paste!
I then used a plastic palette knife to evenly spread the paste through the stencil.
I spread the paste pretty thinly because I have little patience with waiting for things to dry…haha!
(it really doesn’t take that long, I actually placed it near a fan and the project was dried in 5 minutes!)
Here’s the end result…
I used the same Tide Pool color ink to stamp the sentiment using the You’re So Kind set.
It’s one of my favorite Hero Arts sentiment sets because of the variety and size of the sentiments!
I added a few enamel dots from my stash for some added color and texture.
And a closeup…
That’s it for me today! I hope this inspires you to play along with our texture theme!
Also for any of the products I’ve used take a look at the A2Z Etsy Store.
Soooo many products to choose from!
Mahalo for stopping by!
