A One Layer Christmas Card

Hero Arts Layering Christmas

Hey Friends, Kristina Here — Happy 11/11!
Inspired by our current One Layer Challenge, I’ve created here a single layer Christmas card

I started by cutting a circle mask out of masking paper and covering the card front to do some ink blending.
With the mask still on, I stamped some very light, white snow flakes on the background just for a little dimension
The blue ink was light enough that I was able to stamp the Layering Tree right on top of it with no bleed, I did double stamp all layer (with my MISTI) to make sure they were vibrant.
For the last layer I stamped in versa mark (after a very generous amount of powder tool) and heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder (my fav). To finish I stamped my sentiment in Red Royal ink.

  3. This is a gorgeous card! I have this stamp and never thought to us the last layer with embossing powder for a snowy effect, but I love it. Thank you for sharing these ideas with us.
