Some Serious Blingage

Hero Arts Color Layering Flowers
As you know this month challenge is Fireworks: Lots of Glitter & Bling.
So that’s exactly what I did

Hero Arts Color Layering Flowers
The sentiment and glitter strip were glitter papers, but the flowers are all hand glittered thanks
to a beautiful invention called Sticky Embossing powder. To achieve this much glittertasticness
I stamped all of my images in pigment ink and heat embossed with Ranger Sticky Embossing powder, which when heated, becomes nice and tacky, perfect to adhere glitter!

You can do one of two things to get great glittered images. Stamp in your favorite colored pigment inks then emboss with the sticky embossing powder and apply a translucent glitter -OR- stamp in VersaMark, emboss with the sticky, and then glitter in your favorite colored glitter. This card uses pigment ink with ultrafine translucent glitter.

The trick to sticky embossing powder is you can not overheat it. So your heat tool should be nice and hot, and give it a very quick shot of heat to melt, then apply your glitter, rub off the excess, then give it another quick shot of heat to bond. When I was nearly done with the stamping I thought, Gees why not just use sparkly embossing powder. So I did try some, but the results are no where near as sparkly as glitter. I – LOVE – GLITTER
