I am here with a2z Scrapbooking sharing with you a card with masking and layering. This month’s challenge is masking. Here is my card:
I used the Hero Arts Layering Large Orchid stamp set for my card. My card is an A2 card which I embossed. I cut a panel 2 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. The panel for the layer is 2 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. I stamped my image with Hero Arts Dusty Blue Shadow ink. Then I stamped the middle of the orchid with Hero Arts Navy Mid Tone Shadow ink. For the masking I cut the large flower out with the Hero Arts Large Orchid Frame Cuts and covered the stamped image so I could mask some of the smaller flowers and stems. I don’t know if there are blue Orchids, but I love how they look on the Navy background. For the sentiment, I cut two “hello” out from the Hello Stamp and Cut stamp set and adhered them together. I cut out a piece of vellum (1 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches) stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Sayings with Hero Arts Black ink and glued the vellum on my card with glue dots that are behind the hello so you would not see the adhesive.
