Aloha and happy Wednesday friends! This month’s challenge is to emboss, so today I’ve used embossing powder and I’ve poured it on. I love the look of heavy, thick, metallic powder especially on word die cuts. Hero Arts has some awesome word die cuts, but today I’m using the Congrats Stamp and Cut.
I die cut the word about 4 times on some 110lb white cardstock and glued them together. Then I smooshed Versamark ink on the die cut and poured on the Hero Arts Gold embossing powder. I didn’t dust off the excess and got my heat gun really hot so that the powder would melt quickly. I did this process about 3 times to get a really thick look. It almost looks as if the word was made of metal….soooo cool!
The word die was then popped up on another die cut, Hero Arts Paper Layering Mum that was watercolored to give the petals more color…perfect for spring time! I wanted to make a circle shaped card so I used a circle die to create one. Can’t wait to see what you all create with embossing!
Mahalo for stopping by!
