Hi, crafty friends! I used the new So Sorry Stamp and Cut set for my watercolor card today. I love this set, part of the proceeds go to charity and it’s so versatile. You can use it for sympathy cards or encouragement cards and love cards.
To watercolor this card, I used gelatos as the “paint.” I scribbled on a clear acrylic block, added water with a brush and then painted the hearts.
I also tried just scribbling some gelatos onto one of the hearts and then adding water. That one was darker than the rest. It’s in the top right area with the heart die cut in the center.
As they dried, I colored some areas on patterned paper and then smoothed it with my finger with no water added.
I adhered the dry hearts and then stamped the heart chains in black and added the watercolor mini hearts at the bottom. Then I stamped the sentiment on the heart and on the background and added some watered down black paint around the hearts for dimension.
This was really fun to make, since I got to color, paint and get my fingers all messy!
Hope you’ll join us in the April Watercolor Challenge, using your Hero Arts stamp, stencil or die cut as the main element for a chance to win $25 to the a2z Scrapbooking store!
Happy Saturday!
