Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a watercolor card that I made using the Large Floral Background from Hero Arts with a watercolor technique. I love the big flowers and this stamp has these in different sizes and forms, perfect for this season.
Watercolor is a technique that you use and can’t predict, just do it and see the reaction of the ink over the paper. If you use less or more water the result can change but you will always have something special. In this opportunity I decided to ink my stamp directly with the small spots or cubes of distress ink. I used the colors of ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge and Moved Lawn. Then I sprayed with water and stamped directly over the watercolor paper. When the paper was totally dried, I cut with a rectangular stitched frame.
I pasted this stamped layer over a Whisper White card base and in a separate piece of Early Espresso card stock, I stamped the word Celebrate from the set Celebrate Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia using Versamark and White Embossing Powder to add with dimensionals as sentiment over the card. As final touch, I added some dark green enamel dots over some flowers.
I hope my project inspired you and that you come back with your project to participate in our watercolor challenge.
