Hi everyone, it’s Angie here with a fun watercolor technique card! I hope you can join the April watercolor challenge over at a2zscrapbooking blog, you still have time!
I took a piece of watercolor paper, traced a mum using the mask I made with the Hero Arts Fancy Mum die. I put Moltow masking fluid around the edges so I could watercolor with 3 shades of Distress Ink. When it was dry, I used the same inks to splatter the background. I wiped it up after each color before it dried to mute the colors. Then I rubbed off the masking fluid.
I lined up the die on the watercolor paper and ran it through my Big Shot, then curled the outer leaves up. I sponged the same inks on a background piece of card stock, then mounted the mum panel on top, and added it to the card base.
I stamped the Hero Arts Handwritten Grateful stamp using Hero Arts Black Dye Ink and fussy cut it, mounted it on foam dots and put it in the middle of the mum.
