Aloha and Happy Mother’s Day! Wishing everyone out there, who is a mom (or like a mom) to someone special, a great day surrounded by love and appreciation.
Today I have a trio of cards since CAS (Clean and Simple) allows for quick and easy! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Hibiscus and an older verson of Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages (I definitely need to update because this set is perfect for just about any occasion!)
Card #1

CAS with Hero Arts Hybrid Inks
I went with Hero Arts Kraft Notecards with Envelopes for my card base and stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink. The white ink really stands out on the Kraft cardstock! I used Hero Arts Strawberry hybrid ink for my base of the hibiscus and Crimson hybrid ink for the second layer. I used the coordinating die cut for the hibiscus and stamen which was inked in Dandelion hybrid ink. These inks are so vibrant and perfect for solid stamping!
Card #2
I went with Hero Arts Hybrid inks in Orchid for the base and Mulled Wine for the second layer. I try to keep at least one sympathy card in my stash just in case. I thought the simplicity was perfect for the not so pleasant occasion.
Card #3
Sometimes you just need to send a card “Just Because.” I used Dandelion Hybrid ink and Tangerine for the second layer.
I hope this inspires you to play along with us for this month’s CAS challenge! The winner gets a $25 gift certificate to the store that has the latest Hero Arts release!!
Mahalo for stopping by!

What is hybrid ink?

Great question Helen! Hero Arts hybrid inks are the latest formulation of inks that is a cross between pigment ink and shadow inks. It has great coverage like a pigment ink, but less dry time and looks gorgeous with solid and layer stamping. They come in a rainbow of colors and shades that are different from the shadow inks. Hope this helps!
