Aloha all! It’s Niki G. and I’ve got a fun way to use those awesome Hero Arts Paper Layering Dies (today I used the Pineapple). All you need is some embossing powder and a Versamark pen (or a Q-tip dipped in Versamark).
I wanted the colors to pop, so I went with black cardstock and some colored embossing powders. I used the Versamark pen to color areas of the die that I wanted the embossing powder to stick. I first colored in the leaves with the pen and covered in Zing! Leaf embossing powder and heat set. Then I colored in the pineapple and covered in Judikins Egyptian Gold powder and heat set. The results are super cool! I really wanted something bright to peak through the die and went with a bright pink card base.
Our latest challenge is to use those Hero Arts die cuts, so for my sentiment I used Hero Arts Congrats Stamp and Cut and gold foil paper. To complete the sentiment I heat embossed it to match the pineapple.
And a closeup…
Come join us for our latest challenge! Hope to see you there!!
MAHALO for stopping by!

Niki, this is super cool! Love that extra gold on the pineapple 🙂 Black cardstock is the best choice for the background.
