Hi friends! I’m back with some super fun tags; there are several layers so I considered those layers my embellishments. 😀 I didn’t want to make them too bulky by adding much more to them.
I hope you’ll join our challenge this month, EMBELLISH IT; we love seeing your creations! And don’t forget, you can save 15% off your purchase of $25+ at the Etsy store, just use code: MicheleG15! And if you don’t see something in stock, be sure to ask as they are happy to do custom orders! Now…down to b’ness!
I started by stamping the 3rd layer of the For You Color Layering flower in Versamark and embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum. I also stamped a couple leaves in the lower corner of each tag. I initially applied a water color layer using Zig Clean Color Brushes but it was just too soft, so I let them dry then added more rich red color using the Zig brushes directly to the paper. I added a wee bit of green to the leaves. I added a couple layers of wash using two brown Zig brushes for a bit of a vintage look.
I topped each tag with some ‘newspaper like’ designer paper I had on hand, then sponged the edges with Old Paper distress ink. I spritzed each with sparkle shimmer mist – impossible to see in the photos, but it’s there and oh so sparkly! I then added a layer of red to the back of each tag so you can include a message or a name, tied on a layer of vellum stamped and embossed with the word JOY using ribbon and twine.
Thanks for popping in, don’t forget to join our challenge this month!
