Hello everyone, it’s Angie here today with a project for our monthly challenge – “Anything But a Card!” My project is a little gift of a tea bag in what looks like a matchbook. A few years ago, I saw Melissa on YouTube make these (Her video is HERE.) and I’ve been making these for the past few years and taking them to a retirement community that my students perform holiday music for. I usually do all the cutting and scoring and then let my students put them together and decorate them.
I made this one with plaid patterned paper, red cardstock, and the sentiment is the die from the Hero Arts DC195 Christmas Trimmings Stamp and Cut set, cut from fun foam. The added embellishment are from my stash. I also added Wink of Stella on the sentiment and a few drop of enamel dots on the front.
I hope you will have time to join us this month for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2zscrapbooking store. Just remember to use one main Hero Arts product and link up your card HERE. Good Luck!
Don’t forget, you can use code Angie15 to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (excluding shipping) at the a2zscrapbooking store. Or from now till Dec 24, you’ll get free shipping (US domestic) and a small free gift for any order $50 or more, use code FreeShipping16.
Check the Announcement section on the store.
These are the supplies I used from the store:
Here’s a picture of the matchbook teabag holders the students put together and decorated. They put them on a table in the back of the room we performed in for the residents of the retirement community to pick up on their way out.
