Happy Aloha Friday friends! Today’s card is a quickie for that last minute card you need. Unfortunately I find myself every year missing someone at Christmas, and so New Year cards become something I need a stash of.
Hero Arts has some awesome cute New Year sentiment stamps, but not really any image ones. I decided to turn some flowers into fireworks with using Hero Arts Color Layering Graphic Flowers and embossing them in Hero Arts Silver and Gold embossing powder. I love the look of the embossing powders on dark colored cardstock!
I wanted to keep things a bit simple in case I have to give to a male recipient. Added some dash lines using a metallic pen to mimic fireworks being shot into the night sky…hence the navy colored cardstock. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Christmas Messages.
I used a scalloped edge die cut to make a panel and mounted it on the card base just so it had a little more dimension.
Don’t forget there’s still time to join us for this month’s challenge: Anything but a card
Mahalo for stopping by!!
