Happy Tuesday friends! Kristina here. Today I’m playing with the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch I needed a masculine birthday card, and thought Mr. Birdie would fit the bill. I really wanted to use the sentiment “Whats the word Bird” but needed it to be a birthday card, so I hand wrote the rest in. I could have also used a digital stamp or typed/printed. I like that the set comes with a few different options for the branch (Leaves vs Flowers) so you could easily make the a feminine card as well. My original plan was just a simple one layer card, but I decided it was a little too CAS for me, so I grabbed a postage stamp die and ran the finished card through my die cutting machine, followed by cutting 3 additional squares of the same die to pop it up.
I went with some blue inks from the Lia collection, but I think you could get some crazy fun birds mixing up the colors with some of the Hero Arts layering specific ink cubes
Easy Peasy right?! Now, don’t forget we have our monthly challenge going on. This month is everyone’s favorite, ANYTHING GOES, just grab your Hero Arts supplies and link up for your chance at a $25 gift card to the store!
