Good morning, good afternoon or good evening… which ever it may be for you! I don’t know about you, but we’ve had abnormal weather in IL for January. The wind was so bad the other day I hard a real hard time trying to open the door when I left work! ( A little embarrassing, but no joke!) Between the wind and the 50 degree weather I almost feel like springtime. Anywho…. my card feels very spring like so maybe the weather put me in the mood!
I stamped my butterflies on a panel and used the pearl embossing powder to the larger butterfly. (I’m going to be honest and tell you this was going to be a one layer card, but I kinda dropped my ink pad on it so had to re-think my design.) 😉 Once the butterflies were stamped I used my trimmer to cut a straight line up to the wings form the top and bottom. Then using my detail scissors to cut around the wings. I then used my sentiment stamp to do a tone on tone stamping on the yellow panel. I trimmed a little piece off of the butterfly panel to break up the card front a little bit. After the yellow panel was adhered to the cardbase, I added the little strip to the yellow panel and popped the bigger strip up on foam tape.
Here is a better look at the pearl embossed powder, it’s such a pretty powder!

We saw the sun outside today, first time without rain for 3 days. Woohooo, perfect for butterflies. Love the bright butterflies.
