Hi – it’s Sue here with a new card for today. This card was created with the current challenge at a2z Scrapbooking in mind. The current challenge is
Won’t you join us for this challenge? Just remember, you need to feature a Hero Arts product on your card.
Here’s my card
I tried a “new to me” technique using alcohol inks on vellum. I started by adding red alcohol ink with a little blending solution randomly with an applicator onto vellum. The varying intensities of colour add some “cool” shading. I initally used the Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia stamp, white embossing powder on the reverse side of the vellum isn’t happy because the red colour seems quite muted. I was looking for a more vibrant red! So, I inked up another piece of vellum and heat embossed on top of the alcohol inked side of the vellum – much better. I fussy cut the flowers, removing the leaves. Here’s a close-up.
I cut some leaves freehand from a grey/green scrap of cardstock. I felt that the card needed a bit more dimension, so I used an embossing folder with vertical stripes for the background. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Color Layering Fuchsia stamp set.
The a2z Scrapbooking etsy store is a great place for you to purchase Hero Arts supplies. When your cart reaches $25, use my code Sue15 for 15% off.
