Aloha and happy Monday friends! Have you seen the newest a2z Scrapbooking challenge: Getting to Know You? Some of my favorite Hero Arts stamp sets are the Color Layering ones and today I’m playing with the Color Layering Water Lilies and matching dies.
My favorite part of color layering stamps is the realistic and dimensional looks you get with just a few ink colors! The water lily is stamped in Hero Arts Shadow ink Passion Flower (as the first/lightest layer), then Hero Arts Bold inks in Orchid and Mulled Wine (the darkest layer). For the lily pads I used Hero Arts Bold inks in Green Apple and Moss.
I die cut the stamped images out and adhered them to a panel die cut with Avery Elle’s Wonky Stitched rectangles (inked with Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber and Broken China for a fun background) and adhered to a Hero Arts Floral Mixed Folded Cards. These notecards match perfectly with the ink colors!
I hope this inspires you to join our challenge for a chance to win $25 to a2z Scrapbooking store!
Mahalo for stopping by!
