Aloha and happy Saturday friends! I’m back today sharing a simple way to jazz up those die cuts using some watercolor. Today I’m using a couple of Hero Arts items found in the store: Hero Arts Prayers Stamp and Cut and Hero Arts Floral Border with Frame Fancy Die.
To create the ombre look I used a Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker in Cornflower Blue…just one marker! I took a paint brush with just water to pull the color down and create that faded look. To get the top of the die cut more blue, I’d go back and add more color with the brush marker.
I went with a white on white look to keep everything simple to really display the beautiful floral border die cut and the word die. The “sending you” was inked in Hero Arts Bold Ink Indigo. The card panel was adhered with foam tape for dimension.
If you’re looking for the little butterfly that’s usually on the floral border die I snipped them off so that I could use the oval across the card. I felt like it allowed the border die to go either vertical or horizontal.
I hope you’ll join us for this month’s challenge using your favorite Hero Arts products! You’ll be enter to win $25 to a2z Scrapbooking!!
Mahalo for stopping by!
