Thinking of you Poppy with Hero Arts

Welcome.  Dawn here to share my shaped card for this month’s challenge.  I have used my favourite Poppy stamp and die for this card.

My card base is made with by die cutting two Spellbinders dies and glued them together at the top.   I trimmed a smidgen off the bottom curve on the back to allow the card to stand up.    I used some Patterned paper for my inner panel.   On a separate piece of card stock I stamped the poppy in Hero Arts inks – Soft Cantaloupe and Punch Chalk (discontinued) and Distress Ink – Aged Mahogany.  The stem is in Emerald  Green.   I used the matching dies to cut out the Poppy.

I did have a little mishap when stamping the sentiment…. as I went to pull the sentiment off the backing sheet (it was the first time I used this sentiment) and I tore it!

With much butting and wiggling, to say the least, I managed to get the sentiment stamped.

  1. It’s lovely, love everything about it!

  2. The poppy looks like it was made for this card. It’s a beauty.

  3. Awesome design, & I love how you have the frame & inner panel on the card front. Great job with the greeting, too–you’d never know you tore the stamp. I’ve done that, too, and it IS annoying, isn’t it? Tfs! 🙂 ~ Andrea
