Thinking of You

thinking of you

I have always loved the look that the layered stamps create. Especially the flowers!

I used the Hero Arts Layering Hibiscus stamp along with the Hello Stamp and Die Cut set to create this nice thinking of you card.

I didn’t want to use traditional vibrant colors, so instead I used the Hero Arts Charcoal Granite ink and the Intense Black to create the flowers.  After I stamped out the flowers, I used peeled paint Distress Oxide to stamp out the leaf, along with my intense black ink.

I used the hello die to cut out two  green “hello” sentiments and glued them together using Multi Medium Gloss.  I then glued it onto my white card over the flowers.  I added some washi tape and cut out my panel using a stitched die.

I matted the floral card base onto some green card stock, then matted that onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base. I added some Ebony Black and Apple Green Nuvo drops for added texture and interest.

  1. It’s gorgeous!! Love this version of the Hibiscus flowers!

  2. Wow very interesting! The flowers look great & I would not have thought of that.

  3. How neat, I like your use of the flower, more as a background, then as a feature. I like how you can shape that “hello” die-cut into a rounded form, not a straight line.

  4. I love the Grey/black color of the hibiscus, I wouldn’t have thought to do that!

  5. Love the non-traditional colors!
