Hi there it’s Angie here today with some inspiration for our October “Watercolor” challenge! I watercolored some watercolor paper with Distress Inks and Kuretake watercolors then die cut the ornaments from Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments Stamp and Cut set. The sentiment is from the same set. I used a large plaid background stamp (very old Hero Arts rubber stamp) on top of the watercolored paper for some pattern. The large wood background stamp is from Joy Clair stamps in light beige ink. I used two strips of the watercolored paper on the sides then cut the top panel and another black panel with MFT edge die and layered them. Lastly I added some glitter Nuvo drops to the ornaments for extra shine and two die cut bows from the same Hero Arts Stamp and Cut set.

I LOVE the look you got with the watercolor, Angie!!!! Really cool texture. Great use of the watercolored strips, too. And I never thought to use raffia on my cards. You opened up a world of possibilities. Thank you for the inspiration! 🙂 ~ Andrea
