Hi, Cindy here with my first post of November here on a2z Scrapbooking Supplies. This month’s challenge theme is Winter. And when I think of Winter, first thing comes to mind is Christmas and Pine tree.
I used images from two Hero Arts Digital stamps, Feathered Friends and Holiday Houses to create this set of cards.
First I calculated the pixel sizes of each of the images, then resized and copied them onto a new file size 8 1/2 by 11 inches (with same pixel measure of course). I got four similar images so I could make multiple cards. I printed it on white card stock. You will notice there are some subtle differences, such as snow background on two, one of the pines are black.
I experimented with different mediums. First I used the good old coloring pencils. The larger ornament from an older set were stamped, colored and hand cut.
Next I used an inking stylus to ink my tree and paper pieced the birds, and embellished with sequins.
The third one I used Copic markers, and embellished the tree with twine and pearls.
I had lots of fun making these cards. I hope you would try it too. Here’s a group shot.
