Hero Arts Spiral Stencil New Look

Try Something New.  I doubt that this looks new, but it is. This is a new to me technique that I garnered from the Hero Arts Web site here.  If you receive the Hero Arts emails, then you will have watched the video.  I wanted to show the difference in this technique from directly inking the card through the stencil.

It’s easier to watch the video than it is to explain it, so I’d suggest you watch the video to be able to use this technique for any stencil.  You do run it through your die cut machine.  What I have on the card I made for the new challenge is the negative of how you would normally color in the stencil to use.  It’s simple and I wanted as much of the stencil to show the technique as I could.  I hope you try something new and enter our challenge this month.

You can view the post for the card below on my blog here.  You can clearly see the difference in where the color is.  And I’m ok with my new card not being perfect.

Are you on social media? We are! Please join us on TwitterInstagram and Facebook? so you don’t miss any fun promotions or new challenge announcements!

Hope you’ll join in our monthly challenge so you can have a shot at the digital stamp of the month set. Remember you no longer have to use Hero Arts to participate in our monthly challenges, the winner is randomly drawn for the digi prize…and if you do use Hero Arts products on your project, you could win the digi set AND $20 to the store! The Design Team will also be choosing their top three favorite projects from the challenge each month and award them a cool TOP 3 blog badge.
