Just Saying Hello

Hello Friends, happy weekend!!! It’s Chitra here, after a long time I am back with a card share for you.. I played with one of my favorite set from Hero Arts today. Here is my card….

Hero Arts (17)

I have used Dauber Bunches stamp set for my card. Stamped the flowers using Black ink, then to fill in the flowers with color I simply flipped the single petal stamp and used the solid part of the stamp to color. You can use HA dauber’s as well to color the flowers.

Then on a strip of vellum I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark ink and black embossed it. It was then adhered by just applying glue to the part which goes inside the card. Finally embellished using some sequins.

Hero Arts (18)

Wishing You The Best

Hello friends!! Okkkk so I totally forgot about todays post.. But better late than never right.. ? 😀

For my todays card I have used a HA’s stencil ‘borders’ and some acrylic paints.. Here is my card..

Hero Arts (1)

For the background I laid my stencil on Tim Holtz watercolor paper and applied some acrylic paints on top of it, then I sprayed lots of water on top of it and with the help of paint brush I just moved the colors. Once the paper was dry I matted it on Bazzill cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment onto vellum using Delicata Golden Glitz ink, finally added some enamel dots. Here is a close up..

Shine Brightly

Hello Friends!! It’s Chitra here with a card share..

Today I have used The Firmament digital kit. These digital kits are so fun to use, first you can use it instantly (don’t have to wait for shipment) and second we can adjust the size of the image as needed.

My card theme also fit our current monthly challenge “Encouragement“..

Shine Brightly 1

About the digi stamp, I used Paint to color the solid image to yellow (it comes black) saved it temporarily on my computer then opened it again on my Word Doc and adjusted the size also adjusted the size of the sentiment and printed it out. Now I might have used a very long route, not at all computer savvy.. :/

Once the image is printed out I used circle die to cut it out.

Shine Brightly 2

For the background I used distress inks to imitate a stormy sky.. 🙂 I laid the colors on my craft mat and spritzed good amount of water, then placed water color paper directly on top of the color pool. I played with it till I was happy.

Once the water colored paper was dry I cut it out little smaller than the card base and directly adhered it. The sun and the sentiment is adhered using foam dots. Finally I embellished it with some sequins.

Hope you liked todays card. If you are interested in any of the products I used on my card or any other amazing products from the store, please feel free to use my DT Promo Code: CHITRA15 and you will receive a 15% OFF(Excluding Shipping).

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to play with our current challenge!!

You’re a HOOT

Hello Friends!! Welcome to the blog, It’s Chitra (from My Craft Corner) here with a new post for you all. So excited to write my very first post for the blog. The current challenge theme for this month is “Encouragement”, so I made a card which goes with the theme..

Hoot

For my card background I first masked the circle where I wanted my image to be and then placed my HA’s “Tweed” stencil and added the colors with distress inks and sponge daubers. When I was happy with the colors I then stamped the dots on top of the stencil to give some interest. Then I removed the stencil to reveal the magic (you know how it feels 😉 ). The image is from HA’s “Lil Hoot” which is stamped inside the circle with Memento Tuxedo Ink and I colored with copics.

Hoot 1

I have used two different (parts of) sentiment to make my own sentiment, that’s the joy of clear stamps…. right.? Also I have scored the outline of my circle just to define it.

Hope you enjoyed todays card. If you are interested in any of the products I used on my card or any other amazing products from the store, please feel free to use my DT Promo Code: CHITRA15 and you will receive a 15% OFF(Excluding Shipping).

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to play with our current challenge!! Have a happy weekend!!
