POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia with you! The spring is almost here but our challenge is not ending so I decided combine these two elements in one card for you today using Poetic Petals a Digital File from Hero Arts, maybe one of my favorites from the entire collection. Take a look at my card:

POETIC PETALS DIGITAL FILE HERO ARTS

To create this card I used Cherry Cobbler card stock for the base and a decorated piece of paper for the second layer. I simply decorated this layer with a few loops of natural hemp twine that I finished with a tiny bow on the left side.

I printed the Blossom C from the Poetic Petals Digital File over whisper white card stock, colored it with Copic Markers and then fussy cut with my scissors. I cut an oval with a die cut and pasted the Blossom C over the left side of the oval. Then I stamped word by word a sentiment from the stamp set Celebrate Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia from Hero Arts using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. Finally I pasted the decorated piece over the base using dimensionals and added some black heart sequins.

Hero Arts – Sending You Love

Hello everyone!

It’s Donna and the challenge for this month is “Any Shade of Red”.  You can link your project here. Please be sure that your project contains at least ONE main HERO ART Product as the focal element!

For my card, I used different shades of Hero Arts red inks for my background.  I cut the heart from the Hero Arts So Sorry Stamp & Cut set and the “love” die cut and sentiment is from the Hero Arts Love Stamp and Cut set.  I finished my card off by adding some splattering of red paint and red sequins.

Hero Arts You’re So Lovely – Tag Challenge

Hello everyone,

It’s Donna here with the new challenge “Make It A Tag”!  Doesn’t that sound like fun!  I can’t remember ever making a tag on a card and this is fun….I hope you will join in on the fun challenge.  You have to use at least one Hero Arts image on your card.  You can add your project to the inlinkz  here.

I am using the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely stamp set.  The tag is the new Hero Arts Nesting Tag Dies.  I die cut the second tag out of white card stock, then backed it with black card stock.  I stamped two of the large flowers and one small one on my tag using the Hero Arts Raspberry Jam ink.  Oh my, how I love this color!  I then stamped the leaves using Hero Arts Pine and Moss inks.  I stamped the sentiment using Hero Arts black ink.  To finish the tag off I added some black splattered ink and rhinestones.

Here is my take on the card.

Hero Arts – CL980 Happy Mother’s Day

No need to check your calendars, it’s not Mother’s Day. Well, maybe it should be – right? Why do we recognize our moms only one day a year? For all they do for us and have done for us, we should be celebrating them more often!

It’s an ANYTHING GOES month for our July challenge. Surely, you have a card that meets that criteria – right? We’d love for you to join us here. You’ll need to use a Hero Arts stamp, stencil, die or digi as your main element and you could win a $25 gift code to the a2z Scrapbooking store.

I love floral stamps, especially floral outlines, like those on Hero Arts’ Happy Mother’s Day set. There are so many options – watercolouring, stamping on printed paper, stamping on vellum …

July 29A

I started this card by stamping the two smaller flowers with black ink on white cardstock.

July 29B

July 29C

I added colour using daubers and distress inks

July 29D

I then fussy-cut the flowers.

July 29E

I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts CL925 Dare to Dream stamp set on a piece of gray cardstock. I adhered the flowers in the top left corner, adding dimensionals under the larger, orange flower.

Here’s a close-up of the flowers.

Watercolor stamped butterflies

Hello all! Today’s card is a Mother’s Day card… I can’t believe it’s just around the corner. April is almost over, how did it go by so fast?!?!  With the end of the month in mind you still have a few days to join in the watercolor challenge (link is in the side bar)  for your chance to win!

Using a watercolor cardbase I inked up the stamp and spritzed it with water before stamping it on the cardbase. This was slightly messy and my first try at the technique. I repeated the steps changing the ink color each time, stamping one on a piece of scrap before die cutting it. Once the watercolor stamped images were dry I took the second image from the set to stamp the lined butterfly.  Adhered the butterfly and some sequins to finish it off!
