I think these mice are the cutest and even work for grown sons. I made this card as a gift card and had such fun putting these mice into nooks and crannies. I couldn’t help myself. Easy to color and die cut.
I’m sure the cheese will bring out a Xmas mouse on the insdie of my card.
I have three other gift cards on my blog if you’d like to see what my family is receiving as part of their Winter gifts at A Bit of This and that.

Oh boy, just two more day before Christmas! Are you ready for it?
I don’t think I am ever ‘ready’, I just enjoy and take it all in regardless. Best policy don’t you think? Alright enough small talk, let’s get to my card today.
I’ve stamped the Poinsettias all around the card edges and created a frame for my ‘Merry Merry Christmas’ sentiment. Btw I combined stamps from two sets for it and it’s silver heat embossed. Some of the tips of the leaves have silver embossing on it, it wasn’t my original design, but I like that it happened! I also enhanced the some of the petals with a watercolor wash. For the final touches I splattered some Glimmer Metallic Pewter Ink all over it. To the center of the Poinsettia I added Gold Dust Stickles. The panel is adhered to a Charcoal card base, and embellished with some Wine color sequins.
So Merry Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!!

I think these houses are so festive and the background I made from two dies which added to the spacial aspect of the card. It’s whimsical and so very cute.
I used an edging die as a background on which to build my houses. I sent this off to Annie Collins and she has received it so I can reveal my card. To see how I decorated the inside of the card be sure to stop by my blog at A Bit of This and That
A close-up of the houses. They really do take on the Christmas charm colored this way.

I saw the Holiday Greenery Edge used in the Hero Arts (HA) Catalog, but wondered how it would look with two dies, opposed to each other on a card. I was surprised to see that a white background and green die cut was a smart, sharp combination.
Here is my inspiration card for A2Z Scrapbooking.

I like the inspiration this HA page in the Winter 2018 Catalog..
I used Nuvo Red Berry to do the berries on the die-cut and joined them together with berries facing the outside of the card. A glittery gold tape conceals the space where the dies join. A small stamped “Merry Christmas” completes the card. Simple and simply delightful to look at. My post is also at A Bit of This and That.

Cindy here to share another Thank You card. Who says Peonies are only for Spring and Summer? I bet you can use it all year long! I used my favorite Fall colors and Peonies for my project, and I like it! 🙂
The outlines of the Peonies looks like gold heat embossing, but it is actually foiling. I first clear heat embossed the peonies and then I reheat part by part and place foil sheet over it and press down with bone folder.
The sentiment from the same Peonies set is stamped in black and clear heat embossed. And I added a few sequins to complete the card. Hop over to my blog, Escape To Stamping to get more details.
The Hero Arts Peonies Clear Stamp set is really pretty. It is still available at a2z Scrapbooking. Get your own today. I was happy with my old system of keeping my dies in a long plastic container with most of my dies where I knew they should be until my system broke down, TOO MANY DIES. Yes, I actually said that. BUT I did NOT toss any dies. NO DIES WERE HARMED IN THIS PROCESS. I JUST changed the way I kept them.
I figured I wanted something about 5 inches by 7 inches because most of the dies came in packages about that size, but not anything too much bigger. And I found something at one of our local paper stores. First I found the sleeves which are 8 1/2″ tall by 5 1/2″ wide. After looking at several different binders that would accommodate that size sleeve, I ended up with ten (10) binders in all.
TIP: Decide what you want in a binder
Binder Spine – Tab in a sleeve or use a label to tape onto the binder spine (I went with the Tab in a sleeve)
Front of Binder – Sleeve with room for paper to identify what is in the binder or not sleeve, but you can tape some paper on top of the binder (I went with the sleeve on the front so I could easily change when I add or remove or change dies to another binder.)
I purchased a binder that was cheaper without a spine tab or sleeve on the front, but realized it wasn’t really what I wanted. I will use the two binders for something else in the future, but went back and picked up 10 binders at about $1.50 more each and found they were also made better and would last longer. That’s just my two cents, as they say.
I don’t have my Dies sorted by brand, but by type from Christmas and Holidays to Scenes and Letters & #s. I have ten (10) binders in all. If I change a die or dies to another binder, it’s easy to change the front cover because I can take it out and put a new typed sheet in the front sleeve.
Here are a couple of my stamp and die combination sets. I keep the stamps and dies in one sleeve so they are together and easy to find.
Below are the new Christmas Mice dies on the back side of the stamp set . When I stamp and die-cut images, I put them into a small plastic bag that closes which goes into the same sleeve as the stamp and die set.
The new Holiday Greenery Edge Fancy Die has its own place of honor in my Christmas Binder with some die-cuts already to go..
I don’t have every die listed on the front unless there is room to do so. I based binder names on the length of the name I could fit on the exposed binder side when stored and placed all brands in that binder. I made a list of all dies in each binder and put those lists in sheet protectors with a metal ring to keep them together. Anytime I’m not sure of what is in a binder, I pick up my lists. Now that I’m thinking about it, I just may put that list into alphabetical order with the name of the book so I can just look something up alphabetically. See, there’s always another way of doing things.
The card below published November 3rd is the result of using my binders to hold dies and die-cuts.

I am sharing a Thank You card featuring Hero Arts Color Layering Pomegranate today. I did the usual stamp and watercolor, but for the Pomegranates I die cut with the matching frame and watercolor only. I was happy with the result but they needed some ‘zing’, to enhance the look I used a very unusual element – beet juice! Yup you read it right.
I share a comparison of the card before beet juice on my blog, you can check it there, Escape To Stamping.

I know you’re wondering why I’m making a Thanks card with Christmas Mice. Me TOO. The background copper color reminds me of rich Thanksgiving decorations and I think it works. Thos mice are so cute and take little time to color. I am rather fond of that cheese which was definitely fun to color. I cut off the tag on the bottom of the cheese with the “Merry Christmas” message.
I used a tree die and rectangular die with in the middle of the squares,, cut the border between the bottom set of squares and went on from there. I had seen something similar with the mice, but cannot locate that card. If I do, I will give her credit for her inspiration card.

Today we have a special guest posting for us – Michelle Lupton. Her CAS and Clean & Layered style of creations are gorgeous and delightful, especially her rainbow signature style projects!! She is currently on several Design Teams and you could visit her on her blog Handmade by Michelle, and these social medias: Instagram, and Pinterest.
Hello! I am excited to be a guest at A2Z today, with a fun rainbow/autumn card.
I used my MISTI to stamp the leaves from Hero Arts “Textured Leaves” using multiple colours to create a rainbow. I then added a sentiment from “Hello Stamp & Cut”, with the smaller part of the sentiment white embossed onto black cardstock.
Thank you Michelle for guest designing for us. It’s a pleasure to have you!

Hi everyone! An October kind of card for sure. Be sure to join our challenge here at a2z Scrapbooking Blog! Our challenge this month is Frightfully Fun! We know everyone loves this particular theme and we’re happy to indulge you! Create whatever your heart desires!
Arlene here. Sometimes I don’t know what size I want to work with and with a digital stamp, you can try different sizes at will. The digital haunted house kit has so many options and I really like this house. I had cut out the house and left it on my desk just in case, yes, in case I wanted to use it. I had purchased the Holiday Greenery Edge Fancy Die with an eye to its versatility in use. Cut it in green for both spring, summer and winter, spring with spring colors on the flowers, winter with red flowers and NOW, in black for a creepy vine.
The hint of pink in the photo is not real, this is a black and white card with dots of Nuvo on the vines.
