Hi, it’s Chark today to announce the winner of our April Winner of the $25 gift code to the a2z Scrapbooking store and our three runners-up for the Getting to Know You challenge.

Congrats to the winner, Gwendolyn, for this beautiful card, full of pinks and greens and her own fun doodling to the stamp. This Color Layering Fuchsia set looks great in Tombow markers! Email us at a2zscrapping@gmx.com to claim your gift code.

Each of our three runners-up get bragging rights and a blog badge that let’s the world know how talented we think they are! Please email us at a2zscrapping@gmx.com to claim your badges.

Congratulations to Ashwini for this eye-catching colorful floral card. The Color Layering Hibiscus stamp looks fab in these colors and the bold sentiment looks great among the flowers. The little hint of another Hero Arts stamp, Leafy Vine, makes a subtle background.

Congratulations to Monika, our second runner-up for this butterfly trio card. Her simple greeting and splattered background brings the eye straight to the beautiful overlapping butterflies.

Our final runner-up this month is Kailash, who entered several lovely cards this month. The dimension on the petals and the leaves that are just peeking off the edge on this entry make it a stand-out. Congratulations!

Thanks to all the talented card makers who entered this month’s challenge!

Don’t forget you can break out your Hero Arts supplies and enter the May Challenge, Sentiment Focus, here. Just make your sentiment stand out and link it up to be entered to win $25 to the store!

April Challenge Winners

Hi, friends, it’s Chark today with our monthly challenge winner announcement, so exciting! First, thank you to all who entered our April Watercoloring Challenge, we saw tons of beautiful entries and that made the judging tricky for the team.

The winner for April is Maura with this lovely card…the colors are lovely together, the painting is gorgeous and the splatters and sequins just make the perfect touches. We loved this one, Maura! Please contact us for your $25 gift code to the store at a2zscrapbooking@comcast.net

Our three runners-up for April are these fabulous card makers below. Please contact us at a2zscrapbooking@comcast.net to get your blog buttons.

This card is from Helen G and is just so sigh-worthy. The pink and gold are classically lovely together and the design of this one is perfect to showcase the watercolored flower. Beautiful, Helen!

Our next runner-up is Tammy, who used the cutest little Hero Arts owls as a focal point on her gorgeous watercolored sky. I loved that the owls are painted to match but still stand out. The black and white elements of the card really draw the focus to the beautiful colors and made this a team favorite. Nicely done, Tammy, it’s wonderful!

Our last runner-up for the April Watercolor Challenge is Betty, who took a soft approach to her project. This flower looks stunning embossed and painted on vellum. Leaving the leaves white, along with the white card and white sequins make the eye immediately go to the flower. Beautiful in concept and execution, it won a lot of fans on the team. Lovely work, Betty!

Thanks to all who entered…turns out watercoloring is a favorite technique of our crafty friends. And every entry was beautifully done, so you must be practicing a great deal, or maybe you’re just naturally a painter. Either way, it made for some beautiful eye candy for everyone!

Don’t forget to enter May’s CAS Challenge here this month. Break out those Hero Arts stamps, stencils, dies and digis and think Clean and Simple. You might just win bragging rights and a blog button or even $25 to spend at the a2z store and that is a whole lotta fun!

Happy Weekend!
