Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut Celebration

Happy Sunday!!

The sun is shining and that’s all the reason I need to celebrate!!¬† ūüėÄ

I bake a cake and I want to make it festive when I serve it.  So I created a tiny banner using several small images from Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut set.

I think this project is really self explanatory, so I will skip the details.

Next up I used the same idea and add a banner to my very festive journal pages.¬† The page is stamp with Hero Arts Sweet Sprinkles Cling stamp.¬† I inked it with various distress ink and spritz with Perfect Pearl solution, then stamp in my journaling book.¬† After everything dried, I adhere my banner on top.¬† Such a festive and colorful page, don’t you think?

Now it’s your turn, grab your stamps and bring it “outside the box”!¬† *wink wink!

Enjoy the rest of the day and hope you’d find time to craft.¬† Looking forward to seeing your creations that’s not a card in the June Challenge gallery!

Embossed Congrats

NOTICE: It looks like we’re having a bit of trouble with our InLinkz Link-up on our blog.  It seems to have a mind of its own and disappeared from the side-bar.  However, it found a home on the first day of March here.  The DT are trying to put it back where it came from, but until you see it in the usual place on the top right side, you’ll be able to enter here.

Now onto today’s card, I used Kelly’s Floral Tile Stencil and embossing paste on patterned paper for the background. ¬†Let’s take a look:

My process:

  • Trim pattern paper to fit standard card front, lay Hero Art Kelly’s Foral Tile Stencil on top, spread white embossing paste. ¬†Remove stencil and let dry.
  • Die cut sentiment on black card stock¬†once¬†and on lime card stock four times. ¬†Glue the lime sentiments on top of each other and finally the black one on the very top slightly offset. ¬†Set aside.
  • On peach card stock stamp foot print and die cut heart shape from¬†Hero Arts So Sorry Stamp and Cut set.
  • On white¬†banner¬†stamp “on your new baby” from Hero Arts Congrats Stamp and cut set. adhere on pale yellow banner.
  • Adhere everything as shown.

Hi everybody,

Cindy here to share another birthday card. ¬†One could not have too have birthday cards, could you? ¬†ūüėČ ¬†This month’s challenge is Embossing. ¬†I did both dry embossing and heat embossing on my card. ¬† And I was inspired to use those colours from a card sent to me by a dear friend. You could see that card on my blog Escape To Stamping.

Birthday Banners

Monday Monday!! ¬†It’s a brand new day!!

Today I am¬†sharing a birthday card. ¬†Although¬†there are layers in the card, in honor of this month’s challenge theme¬†I’ve¬†used¬†masking technique on part of the card/elements.

a2z_dtp_20160222

Did you spot it? ¬†ūüôā Read on to find out.

My process:

  • On craft sheet¬†dab Neon Yellow and Neon Orange in equal amount. ¬†Add just a tiny bit of Pale Tomato,
  • Spritz with Perfect Pearl solution until ink run into each other. ¬†Place white card stock on top and let it soak up the ink, try not to move it around too much so the colours don’t mix evenly. ¬†You’d want some variations or ombre effect. ¬†Let the colour panel dry.
  • Stamp various banners from the Hero Arts Papel Picado Banners set with black ink onto the colour panel.
  • Cut banners using¬†Papel Picado Frame Cuts and by hand.
  • Stamp the small solid shape of the small butterfly from Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies¬†set on scrap paper, cut out.
  • Place butterfly cut out at desired area on colour panel (this is the masking part). ¬†Stamp large solid shape of the small butterfly from¬†Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies¬†set over the masked area. ¬†Remove mask. ¬† Stamp the detail and body with black ink.
  • Repeat the same process to product a second butterfly at a lighter area on colour panel, and don’t stamp the body.
  • Fussy cut the butterflies or use the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies Frame Cut.
  • Cut each butterfly right down the middle into two halves. ¬†Layer the light shade behind the darker shade to create that 3D side view. ¬†Glue¬†to secure.
  • Adhere woodgrain paper panel on cream card base.
  • Adhere all the other pieces as shown. ¬†Embellish with¬†Orange Stickles if desired.

Here’s a close up of the masked butterflies holding up the celebrate banner:

New Beginnings: Graduation Part 1

In keeping with this months New Beginnings theme I’m celebrating graduation here on the blog today and tomorrow! Graduation season is upon us!
Lot’s of fresh new adults entering the ‘real world’ with no where to go but up!
So it’s no doubt we celebrate the occasion! And what better way than with gold & glitter!

Graduation Card Hero Arts

I went with a blue and gold color combination primarily because this was for a boy, but also just seems like a great graduation color (because it was my high school colors tee-hee) but you could easily replicate using gold + any other color!

I used one of my FAVORITE alpha stamps for this project The letters are the PERFECT size. I find a lot of alpha stamps to be too big for a project or to small to stamp properly. This one is just right!

Hero Arts Alpha Tabs Stamp & Cut

Buy me in the a2z store! 15% your $25+ Purchase Code: KRISTINA15

Here’s what I did for this card;

1. Start with a white a2 card base

2. Cut a dark colored base layer a step down smaller
I used a die but you could also trim a piece to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

3. Cut a light colored layer a step down smaller. 4 x 5 1/4 and emboss
with your favorite embossing folder.

4. Stamp your greeting onto your dark colored cardstock and heat
emboss with coordinating embossing powder before cutting out.

5. Embellish with coordinating die cuts. I used this fun graduation
image from Cricut which I cut out and glittered generously.

I hope this inspires you to join us in this months new beginnings challenge for your chance at a $25 gift card to the store!

You can get this stamp set & tons more Hero Arts goodies in the a2z store AND you can get it for 15% off!! Use code KRISTINA15 at checkout. Want something, but don’t see it in the store?! Item out of stock?! No problem! Use the “Request Custom Order” or “Ask a Question” button.

One more thing before I go, did you know that we are on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook?. If you haven’t done so already, please follow us on these different social media outlets!! You don’t want to miss out on any fun promotions!!

See you tomorrow for more Graduation Celebration!
