Yay, it’s time for the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop! a2z Scrapbooking is excited to be a sponsor again for all you talented, prolific coffee/tea/cocoa loving cardmakers!
My card today uses some digi stamps. a2z Scrapbooking Supplies is the official Hero Arts digital stamp retailer and one of the most popular sets is Caffeine Fix. There are several fun stamps that you can play with to make exactly whatever size you want. I used the coffee cup and layered the stamp in different sizes in my Corel Draw program (like Adobe Photoshop), added the sentiment and then printed.
But sometimes, I just open the stamp in Windows and print straight from there and then trim it to add to a card later.
I used my Tombow markers to watercolor the card base (by smooshing) and the cups (with a brush) and added my own steam and the counter top. I think the sentiments look so cool. I added a fun cut on the card side with a new stitched die I just bought.
Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to link up at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop so you can try to win your choice of digital stamp sets or $25 gift certificate from a2z Scrapbooking!
Will you pick inks, stencils or these cute stamps if you win?
The a2z Scrapbooking store was founded to aid charities (Camp Gluten Freedom for kids with Celiac, and to help end Behcet’s Disease) and is run by volunteers so that your purchase can give the most money to charity. Here are some of our talented Design Team members who are hopping along with the Summer Hop.
Hello everyone!! Kymona here to talk to you about a cause that is dear to all of our hearts here at a2z Scrapbooking. The team has decided to participant in this Lasting Hearts Card Drive along with Hero Arts and Friends.
What is the Lasting Hearts Card Drive you ask?
It’s a card drive to help comfort mothers who have lost a piece of their hearts. Losing a child, whether in pregnancy or older, can be one of the hardest pains a parent can endure.
So Kimberly, the women who is in charge of this event, would love to include a handmade card to each family experience this lost.
If you would love to send your cards to be included in this amazing drive, please send them here:

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Chark here today to show you a project I made for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. When I think coffee, I think caffeine and when I think caffeine, I think of being a parent with a young kid. Where DO they get their energy?! I made up a little gift bag but this could also be turned into a card. You could fill this for new parents with a coffee gift card, caffeinated chocolate bars (my college-age daughter loves them), or any kind of fun new-parent gifts.
I stamped the Lil Hoot owl stamps first and colored them with Prismacolors. Then I added eyelids with a thin marker to make the big owl look sleepy. I mounted them on a copper colored stenciled background and added the digi sentiment below their branch. Then I just layered the panel on corrugated cardboard from some packaging and some blue pearl paper.
I think this would be a hit at a baby shower.
Here’s a close-up.
If you want to see more coffee goodness, hop over to the personal blogs of our talented Design Team at these links. Hope you’ll join in the Spring Hop and link up your project! I’m wishing you good luck on the plethora of prizes to be had on the hop, including the $25 gift code to a2z Scrapbooking Supplies!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to the beginning of this awesome hop for our fabulous friend, Kelly Latevola!! The entire list is down below so that you can hop along and visit all of the talented designers who appreciative of Kelly.
Kelly has designed for us since the beginning! We love her work and are so grateful for her. We are sad to see her go! She will surely be missed!!
To show our appreciation, everyone participating in this hop, has CASED Kelly!! Yes, we were tasked with the job of picking 3 of her cards and making 1 card inspired by those three cards!!
Lets get started:
I love how the pink and gold feathers are peeking out from the side of the card. So very pretty and adds dimension to the card.
This card caught my eye because of the colors Kelly used to create it. So vibrant and rich.
Yes, how could you not love this card. Doesn’t that hello look like its popped off the flower stem? It isn’t . Super cool. I love the edge of the front panel. So unique and different.
The CASE:
I created a blue watercolor panel to add to the side of my card front like Kelly’s first card. The blue is so vibrant and rich, which is the look I was going for. Then I die cut a tag and sentiment like Kelly’s second card. I love the side panel cut off that I had to create that as well. I added some white dots along side boarder for an added touch. CASEing Kelly was fun for sure!!
Take a closer look:
Thanks Kelly for supporting us since the beginning. You will always have a place over here at a2z Scrapbooking!! We know for sure, we will see you in the blog universe!!!

If you have never used digital or think you can’t use digital fear not, we have 16 exciting stops on the hop to show you how, plus 3 videos.
a2z Scrapbooking is giving away a $50 Gift Certificate to one lucky winner. The prize winner will be randomly selected from ALL comments received on the participating designers’ blogs. This is your last stop on the hop. You should have arrived here from the very talented, Hero Arts Designer Kelly Rasmussen.
Our first card features the Digital PRINT Kits. Here is a video to show you how easy these kits are to use with a simple program like Microsoft word
Here is the card that I made to go along with it:
This second video shows you how to use the Hero Arts Print Kits as Print and Cuts in Silhouette Studio or just as a cut file in Silhouette Studio:
Here is an example of using the digital kit as a print and cut file:
Just like I demonstrated in the video….I took the Christmas light and used a gradient fill on it. I printed it out and then cut it out with my Silhouette. I used some Hero Arts stamps and ink to decorate the background of the tags and then added the print & cut file I created with the digital kit. I added some Wink of Stella to add some extra POW to it. (All supplies listed below)
Next I have a few more tags showing how to combine different cuts with each other for a unique one-of-a kind look:
For this tag I cut the Christmas ornament from the Retro Holiday kit out of two different colored Foiled papers. I swapped out the colors to make a unique ornament. I used some Distress Ink and a Tim Holtz Stencil to create the background. The tag was also cut using the Holiday Houses file from the kit I used in the card above.
For this one I used the same Tim Holtz stencil for the background but this time I cut two of those gorgeous snowflake stamps from the Retro Holiday Kit and layered them with a pop dot in between them.
For this tag I used the insides of the Gold snowflake star in the tag above to fill in the red foil star and I also used the print & cut technique to create the smaller snowflake star with a pattern in the center. There are so many options with these kits. 🙂
Lastly I used two more of the red snowflake stars from the Retro Holiday kit and layered them on top of the Dancing Rain Stencil, inked in Hero Arts Silver Ink, for a unique look.
In case you missed the video on my personal blog I am adding it below. In this video you will learn how to use the Hero Arts Digital CUT FILE KITS. You will learn the difference between SVG files and DXF and you will discover that you do not need the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to use these files.
We hope you had fun today….and that you learned a lot.
We are working as fast as we can to get ALL the Hero Arts Digital Kits into the store. In the meantime if you would like to shop you can use the discount code MICHELLE15 for 15% off your order.
Thanks so much for hopping with us today.
