September 2017 Challenge Winners

Hi, friends, Chark here today with the fun job of announcing the winner and runners-up for the September CASE a designer challenge. As always, we love seeing what you come up with for the challenge and are impressed by the talent we see…so a big THANK YOU to all who participated.
The winner, with the most votes from the Design Team this month, is Zelda, with this lovely Dahlia card…aren’t the colors just beautiful? I love the partial stenciling and bold sentiment. She has CASEd Angie’s card below. Zelda, email me at a2zscrapping@gmx.com to get your $25 gift code to the a2z Scrapbooking Supplies store and your blog button.
The Design Team picks out three runners-up each month whose projects have inspired us or wowed us. Each of these three receive a blog button to tell the world how awesome we think they are. Please email me at  email me at a2zscrapping@gmx.com to get your blog button.
Our first runner-up is Greta with a wonderful metallic fall card. She has CASEd Ilina’s card below. The vellum with the copper sentiment is really striking with the black background.
HA Scramble, a2z Sept
Our second runner-up is Daria with her CASE of Michele…It’s such an interesting design using the top third of the card and second generation stamping that I think I may have to give this one a shot. I probably don’t have the exact flowers as either Michele or Daria, but it looks like any will work to pull off this beauty.
Our third runner-up is Gwendolyn, who has CASEd Helen’s card in an eye-popping and beautiful way. Her red and white design really emphasizes the beauty of the leaves.
Thanks again to all the entrants and congrats to our winners. This month’s challenge is Watercolor…hope to see lots of entries!
As you probably know, a2z Scrapbooking was founded to support charities that address those with Behcet’s Disease and Celiac Disease and every purchase you make helps others…Our purchasing manager (who runs the store) has a big heart and wanted to share yet another way our blog readers (and all of us here at a2z) could help others. This post from Katherine Cosimano shares how being creative and kind can do good in the world.

“We are all hurting badly since the horrible events in Las Vegas. Many of you have expressed a desire to help.

After the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre, I put out the call for handmade cards for the families of the victims. At that time, our amazing community of card makers came out in droves, and filled my mailbox with nearly a thousand cards, written with messages of comfort and love (see picture, below)

I would like to organize a similar card drive for the families of victims of the Las Vegas massacre. The act of creating and writing in cards may be healing for us… it will certainly be a kind and loving gesture for the families who are hurting so badly right now. I will be happy to collect, package, and deliver these cards, likely to a central distribution center who will be able to get them to the families.

Consider making cards in your card groups and classes, church groups, and/or special events. Dig into your stashes. Keep your cards simple. The messages are more important than the images.

There are currently 59 victims 😥 Cards should be written in, but not put in envelopes nor addressed to any specific victim.

Thank you in advance for your efforts. Let’s let these families know they are not alone in their sorrow!!!”

November Winners Post

If it’s the seventh, it must be time to announce the big winners from our November Embellish It Challenge. Our top pick was Betty’s layered and embellished holly card…isn’t this just so lovely? That’s some wonderful stamping with the branches too, and who doesn’t like a touch of gold? Please contact us at a2zscrapbooking@comcast.net to claim your $25 gift code.

Our first of three runners-up (who each get bragging rights and a blog badge to tell everyone how talented we think she is) is Andrea with this striking card with the black, white and gold background for the bright flower.

Our next runner-up is Berina, who actually had two cards that tied for runner-up! These cards were both so pretty and each has metallic accents. I can’t decide which is prettier, neither could the team and that’s why Berina gets two cards showcased.

Our third winner to receive a badge for her blog and  is Jessie with this blinged out tree. Now that is one embellished stamp, and it looks fabulous!

Please email the above address to get your blog buttons. And thanks to everyone who entered this month for playing along and providing us with beautiful inspiration for embellishing our Hero Arts stamps. Don’t forget, we have a December Anything But a Card Challenge up and you can play along all month with your Hero Arts products for a chance to win $25 to the store.

June Winners Announced

Hi, all, just a quick post to announce our June To Die For Challenge Winners. First, thanks to all who entered, we had such beautiful work this month!

Our winner of the $25 gift certificate to the store this month is Maura with this beauty!

The colors are striking and the fun stamping and distressing make the butterflies really stand out–and did you notice the glitter on the wings? Perfect touch! Please email  a2zscrapbooking@comcast.net  to claim your gift code.

Our runners-up win a blog badge and bragging rights to tell everyone how much our DT loved their entries! Just email the above address to ask for your blog buttons.

Helen, who is now on the design team, entered the June contest before being chosen for the team and made this lovely card. It has the right touch of red to really stand out with the kraft and white, always a great combination!

Our next runner-up is Cecilia, with this amazing mix of brick wall and vellum butterfly, both embossed in platinum. What a unique combo she made–the brick texture with the softness of the butterfly is really well done!

Our third runner-up is Kim H. with a different butterfly die and a wonderful shaped card– this is a lovely color combination and the sentiment matches the lighthearted feel of this card perfectly!

We’re so happy to see the entries each month and see what Hero Arts-inspired projects you make. Also, thanks for visiting the blog and shopping the store, we appreciate your support of the charities that every purchase at a2z Scrapbooking helps! You rock! And Congrats to our winners! Don’t forget, we have a July challenge you might want to break out your HA products and enter and maybe you’ll see your name announced next month!

Happy Thursday!

Winning Wednesday

Scroll down to see today’s regular post by Kimberly. Her amazing gift bag just right for the guy in your life…or for anyone who loves the sea!

So happy to be able to finally announce the February Challenge Winner from the Masking Challenge. We’ve been having some minor issues with the challenge link, so we extended the deadline for February’s challenge. But today’s the day to announce the winners!

So many beautiful entries made the decision very tough for the team, but I think you’ll agree that Zelda’s masked card is perfect for spring! It was the lovely stamping, beautiful coloring and a fun design that made this one our February Winner.

Congratulations, Zelda, you’ve won a $25 gift certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Supplies store!

The honorable mentions were voted on by the Design Team and we had a hard time deciding this month on the three who will receive a blog badge for their beautiful work. But here they are!

Andrea’s Paper Antics–that woodgrain background is perfect for this gorgeous butterfly.

Greta H–what a great colorful card perfect for men, teens, and anyone celebrating a big numbered birthday!

Monika Reeck–look at this fun scene…I could see this as the perfect card for a 16-year-old who is now permitted to drive. Love those clouds!

Congratulations, ladies! Thanks to everyone who played along in February! You can join in our March Hero Arts Embossing Challenge this month here if you’re feeling up to the challenge 🙂

To claim your badges (and your prize, Zelda) please email a2zscrapbooking@comcast.net

Please add “February Winner” in your email, thank you!
