Valentine – Hero Arts Floral Heart Stamp & Cut

Hello everyone!

It’s Donna here, Happy New Year’s, I wish all of you good health, love and a crafty year!   There is a new challenge that I hope you will play along, the Challenge is “anything goes”.  You can link your project here.  Please be sure that your project contains at least ONE main HERO ARTS Product as the focal element!

anything-goesI am using the cute Hero Arts “Floral Heart Stamp & Cut.  I used some red glitter paper to cut the die out.  I then die cut the “Valentine” from the Hero Arts “Valentine Message and Three Hearts Fancy Dies”.  I used liquid glue to adhere the “Valentine” to the heart die.  I then added some glossy accent to make the “Valentine” stand out.  The sentiment is from the Hero Arts “Floral Heart Stamp & Cut” set.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and added the Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heated it with a hot glue gun.  I finished my card off by adding some Hero Arts rhinestones and twine.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code “Donna15” to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

Rustic Ornament – with Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp and Cut Set

2 wm.jpg

Hi there, thanks so much for stopping by!  I have a new project for our A2Z November Embellish It Challenge, using Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings  Stamp and Cut set!

I used blank wooden shapes and inked some with Distress Ink and added paper to others.  Then I punched a hole in the top.  I stacked several dies cuts of the Merry Christmas from the set on some of the ornament and added Wink of Stella for shine.  The embellishment flowers were from my stash, but there are some beautiful flowers in the shop right here and so reasonably priced!  I also used some snowflakes and reindeer from my stash to give them some pizazz!  If you don’t like all the extra embellishments you can just add one or two – see the ornaments at the bottom of this post.

I hope you will have time to join us this month for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2zscrapbooking store.  Just remember to use one main Hero Arts product and link up your card HERE.  Good Luck!

Don’t forget, you can use code Angie15 to get 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (excluding shipping) at the a2zscrapbooking store. And from now till Dec 24, you’ll get free shipping (US domestic) for any order $50 or more, use code FreeShipping16.  Check the Announcement section on the store.

These are the supplies I used from the store:

Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut

I’m so glad that a2z is hosting this month’s “Layer It” Challenge!  Christmas is getting closer and I wanted to start building my stash of holiday cards.  For this card I used both multiple layers of card stock stacked up with the sentiment die to make it pop up more, and used the layering stamps for the bow and the leaves!  Hero Arts layering stamps are so easy to use and make your projects have such great depth!

I used a Hero Arts Mermaid Ombre AF365 Ink Pad and just swiped it down a panel of card stock.  I used Hero Arts DC195 Christmas Trimmings Stamp and Cut set for all the leaves, bow, and sentiment.   In addition I used Hero Arts AF247 Fresh Peach Mid-Tone shadow Ink.   I added dots of silver Nuvo glitter drops to the mistletoe berries die cuts.

The new release products are in the store now so have fun shopping!

July Challenge Winners

If it’s the 7th of the month, it’s time to announce our challenge winners!

Our top winner, and the person who receives the $25 gift code to the a2z store is Maura! With this colorful and sophisticated card, she impressed the whole team! Please contact us at a2zscrapbooking@comcast.net to claim your gift code.

Our runners-up win a blog badge and bragging rights to tell everyone how much our DT loved their entries! Just email the above address to ask for your blog buttons.

Our first runner-up this month is Andrea. Andrea tied with herself in a really quirky twist— two of her cards received the same amount of votes from the Design Team. Her first card wowed us with this absolutely lovely ombre effect. The grays really add to the calm look of this card and are perfect for the sentiment. The second card is a beauty and as one team member said, “downright gorgeous!” Andrea really nailed it this month with crowd pleasers 🙂

Our next runner-up is Ashwini, who entered this colorful watercolored card that has a fun, happy vibe to it and the black on the vibrant background really looks fabulous!

And we’ll throw in one more runner-up, thanks to the circumstances with Andrea’s cards tying with each other.

Betty entered this fun tag card with that lovely hibiscus stamp…love the pink and black and the stripes and florals together—and the black dots are just the perfect touch!

We had a great many entries this month that wowed the team…thanks to each of you for entering and playing along with us at a2z…don’t forget to enter the August Challenge of Color It In…you could take home the $25 gift code or the cool blog button!

Congrats to our winners this month!

Just for You Party Time Pup

Hi all, Angie here with another CAS card – hoping to inspire you to join in the fun Clean and Simple CAS challenge at the a2zscrapbooking blog!  Just click HERE for the challenge link and remember to use one main Hero Arts product to be eligible to win the $25 gift certificate to the a2zscrapbooking store!

I used both Hero Arts Party Time by Lia (CL928) and Hero Arts Just for You by Lia (CL929) to stamp the sweet pup, the balloon and the hat on the card stock and also on a post-it note to fussy cut to make masks.  I covered the pup, balloon and hat then sponged on a few colors of Distress Inks, then splattered it with water.  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers, then stamped the sentiment and added Wink of Stella on the balloon and the hat for some shine!

Lastly I die cut the pup with a stitched circle, die cut a stitched circle frame in black and mounted that on fun foam and then to the card base.  I added a few rain drops from my stash.

Below are the products I used.

Just Breathe Plaid and Denim

Hi, Angie here with another card to hopefully inspire you to join the “watercolor” challenge over at a2zscrapbooking blog!  April is almost over but you still have a little time left to join in the fun!

Click here to see the details and add your creation!

I used watercolor paper to ink with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.  I put it on direct to paper and even added more with a dauber to get it really dark.  Then I heat embossed in HA clear powder, leaves stamps from HA You’re So Lovely set.  After heat embossing them, I added water with a paint brush and then wiped off the excess.  (This is the Distress Ink Lifting method with water that Jennifer McGuire recently showed on her blog.)  It lightened up the background and left the leaves really dark.  I think it made the background look like blue jeans or denim!

I cut the HA Swallowtail Fancy Butterfly from plaid patterned paper and inked it with the same Distress Ink, then added Wink of Stella on the top.  I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink and used HA white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment “Just Breathe” from the HA Hello Gorgeous set.  The background is more plaid paper that I inked the edges of to match.  I die cut the watercolor panel with a scalloped die before adhering it to the plaid paper, then the white card base.  Lastly I added some fun black pearl gems from Hero Arts!

My list of supplies is below:

If you need craft items that you don’t see in the store, don’t forget you can special order them here at the A2ZScrapbooking Store.
