Hero Arts CM130 Color Layering Hydrangea Shape Card

Hi! It’s Sue. Can’t believe that it’s almost the end of June. It’s crazy how fast time flies. I have a shape card here for you.  Here’s my card

I love the Hero Arts Color Layering stamp sets. It makes creating beautiful images so easy – Hero Arts has done the “hard work”. I just need to align the various stamps. With my MISTI, it’s pretty easy. There is enough variability on the bloom “background”, that orienting the upper layers requires a bit of rotation, but it becomes pretty obvious where to stamp the upper layers. I fussy cut the bloom. I repeated the process for the three leaves.

To “fit in” with this month’s challenge here at a2z Scrapbooking, I made a circle card. I cut the card with a 3.75″ circle die. I adhered the flower, overlapping the edge of the circle and attached a purple banner, with the sentiment from the same stamp set. The card will still fit into a regular A2 envelope.

good luck

Hello everyone! My card today is a card I made for my son’s drama debut! His school had a drama club this year and they did School House Rock Live Jr. They all did a great job.  I made this card to wish him luck before the show and made an Oreo bouquet for after! (He liked the bouquet better than the card!)

good louck

I used three ink colors to stamp the back ground and embossed the the black on some vellum. I trimmed down my panel and lined it with black cardstock. I then adhered it to the cardbase. The embossed sentiment was torn from the vellum sheet and popped up on the panel.

Cole’s Freakin’ Birthday card

Hello everyone! Monica here to share a card that was actually made by my son Cole. His girlfriends birthday is actually today (the 12th). I’m I cheating by posting the card? I mean I did assist, he wouldn’t have known where to start without my assistance!

coles freakin' birthday card

How romantic right! I did help but really only a little he did all the stamping himself, while I did the cutting and embossing. For the stamping he used a dark gray, but stamped it off to lighten the color so the main sentiment would stand out.

I hope you enjoyed seeing Cole’s card, and hope his girlfriend likes it too! It was a joy to have in my craft room and making a card with me. Thanks to all for stopping by and have a great day!

Lovely Peacock

Hello lovely crafters! Monica here to share a card I made for the Stencil challenge.

peacock

I started with stamping and die cutting the peacock image. I layed the stencil down and added some ink, then moved it slightly to ink with another color. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment, adhered my peacock, sequins and clear dots.

Valentine

Hello hello hello! Hope everyone is doing well and ready start the second month of 2017. I can’t believe January is already almost over. I’m working on Valentine’s Day cards since it’s a few short weeks away.

valentine

I used some distress inks to color my background and then made a stencil using the die. I placed is randomly on the watercolor base and used some distress glaze to create a barrier. I then sprayed the panel heavily with water and took it paper towels to soak up the water to lighten up the color.

I used my scraps from the the original panel to die cut some smaller heart to scatter on the card. I heat embossed part of my sentiment and die cut the other with black card stock. Once all my elements were on the panel, I adhered it to a glittered cardbase and added Wink of Stella to the die cut word.

Hero Arts Sunshine Flowers and Prayers

Hi there,  Angie here today with a card for our Anything Goes Challenge!  Hope you can join in the fun and be eligible to win a $25 gift card to the a2z store!  Just make sure you use one main Hero Arts product on your creation!

I made this with the Hero Arts Digital set called Sunshine Flowers, the image is called Flower Face.

Did you know that a2z is the exclusive retailer of Hero Arts digital stamps!  They have a great selection to choose from HERE!  Not only are they affordable (starting at $2.49), you get them within an instant as a download, ready to use!

I printed the images with a toner printer and cut them out then foiled them in rainbow foil in my foiling machine.  I also foiled the sentiment in the same rainbow foil.  I attached the flowers to the card base, some with pop dots for dimension.  The center of the flowers are gems from my stash. I cut the top panel with a stitched scalloped rectangle die and another panel for the inside.  (There are two more flowers on the inside.)  The card base is kraft card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies used for my card were:

Hero Arts Prayers Stamp and Cut DC183

(out of stock but you can special order)

Gems from my stash

I took extra pictures from many angles because the colors change depending on the angle of the light!

Ornament Tile

Hello all, Monica here today to share a project I made to the December theme…

a2z monthly challenge

I decided to try something new (at least for me) and heat emboss on a ceramic tile. I could use a little more practice and work on the details,  but I still like the way it turned out. I wiped the surface and added some anti-static powder, even though powder stuck where I didn’t really want it too.

ornament-tile

I tried to carefully wipe away as much powder as I could from where I didn’t want it. I then started to heat it up with my embossing gun. The heating portion did take longer than it does on paper, since I’m working on a tile. I finished it off by adding a piece of cork on the back to protect any surface that I may lay it on.

I tried to get  close up, so you could see the sparkle from the embossing powder. This is a lot of fun and I think I know what I’ll be making for some gifts in the future!

Tree Tag

a2z monthly challenge

Hello friends! Monica here stopping in to share a little tag I made for our December challenge.

tree-tag

I die cut my tree out of some scrap green paper I had  lying on my desk. I also used some scrap pieces of cardstock for the embellishments. Once everything was adhered to the tag I added some Nuvo for the accents.

Merry Christmas

Good morning all, or afternoon/night depending on what time it is when you read this. Here is my first card for our November challenge.

embellishment

wishing-you-a-merry-christmas

I started by die cutting the sentiment and bow three times (two in white and one in a colored cardstock). I used some liquid adhesive to layer the pieces together to create a thicker die cut. I layered the sentiment on some pattern paper form stash. Added a banner above the die cut sentiment, before adhering the bow. To finish my card I added some diamond rhinstones that I colored with a Copic to make them red.

Grateful Leaves

Hello all Monica here today to share a card I made for our layer challenge. I started by stamping my leaf with distress inks and and spritzing before I stamped on my watercolor paper. I repeated the steps with all three inks. Then using the same inks I used the same process with some ink blot stamp images.

greatful-leaves-process

I then stamped the veins in versa mark so that I could emboss them in gold. I used the same method of embossing for my sentiment on the vellum piece. I layered the vellum on the panel, wrapped it with twine and added a bow.

greatful-leaves

I adhered the panel to my card and added some sequins for a little more glitz! Just in case the gold embossing wasn’t enough. Below is another picture so you can see the embossing a little better.
