Poster Christmas Carols

Monica M posting today to share a card I made casing a card done by Cindy! I turned her fruity idea into a Christmas card using the poster carols set.

Cindy’s card:

My card:

postercarols

I used my mini misti to line up the sentiments and stamped them on white cardstock. Then I decided picked the mini icons to stamp under the words, since there is only one image each so I tried carefully to line them up. Once the images were done I used a brush stroke looking stamp to add the color on top of the black, alternating red and green.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!monicaa2zscrapbooking

Be Merry and Bright

Hello all! Today I’m sharing a Christmas card that I made with some of the new stamps from Hero Arts! It’s never too early to play with Christmas stamps, I mean it’s August already… well almost September! Christmas will be here before we know it and I don’t want to be working on a ton of cards last minute…. which to be honest is my usual! 😉

For my card I started by stamping the outline images and then masking them. Once they were covered I used distress inks to color my sky and stamped some trees to add more interest to the background. I really wanted the card to look as if there is only one deer on the front, so that it would be fun to see the others when the card is opened.

I then colored my sleigh and reindeer using copics.  Added some shadows in the snowy area and then used a clear sparkle brush pen to add sparkle to the snow. Stamped my sentiment in white to show better on the darker area of the sky and added some gold Nuvo Drops for a little more dazzle.

Quick Christmas Cards with Hero Arts Digital Kit

Hello everyone! Helen is here today would like to share you an idea how to making Christmas cards at last minute crafting project.

It is 22 Days until Christmas day and you might need more Christmas cards at last minute. I do need more extra cards in this last minute 😀 So I made these 4 cards in a jiffy using Hero Arts Christmas digital kits.

a2z Scrapbooking: Christmas Cards with Hero Arts Digital Kit

On this cards today I am using the Hero Arts Winter Forest Digital Kit DK021 for the background. I open the file on my Silhouette Studio software. But you can use any program that can open a pdf file, including Microsoft Word will work. Then I resize to fit on A2 size card. I got 4 bakcgrounds on 8.2 x 11 White Cardstock, on time printing.

Then I did the same thing with the sentiment from Hero Arts Merry & Bright Flourish Tag Digital Kit DK022 and I cut out into banners.

I also use the Peace Stamp & Cuts set for a quick sentiments on the other cards. I simply cut them out with white cardstock and dabbed the red ink all over them to give some rustic look.

OSCAR CUT-OUTS BY LIA FROM HERO ARTS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a very cute card that I made using the Oscar Cut-Outs By Lia stamp set. This is not a Christmas set but I decided to use it during this season because I can’t wait to show you how I can combine it with some details from other stamp sets. Take a look at my card:

OSCAR CUT-OUTS BY LIA FROM HERO ARTS

The base of my card is Real Red card stock and the stamped layer is Very Vanilla. The first thing I did was stamp the bear randomly over the very vanilla layer using Hero Arts Cup O’Joe Mid-tone Shadow Ink , then I dressed each bear with different colored vests. I used Hero Arts Red Royal Shadow Ink and Hero Arts Lime Green. I also used the Bear Hugs sentiment included on the same stamp set to fill some of the spaces.

OSCAR CUT-OUTS BY LIA FROM HERO ARTS

To add a Christmas touch to my card I used the holly leaves included on the stamp set Coffee Cup Tags from Hero Arts. I stamped them with Hero Arts Forever Green Shadow Ink and complemented the design with a sentiment from Happy Holly Days stamp set that I die cut using a rectangle stitched frame.

As you may have noticed I embellished my card with gold metallic thread. It was easy and you can do the same using other materials like gemstones or pearls, and the best part is that you can use my discount code in a2z Scrapbooking Store to buy these or any other Hero Arts product with the 15% off and now they are also offering free shipping until Christmas, you only need to use my discount code MARTHA15 and enjoy your shopping! Only one thing, if you don’t find what you are looking, don’t get upset, just request the product and they will help you!

I hope my project inspires you and come back soon for my ideas. Leave me your comments, I would love to know what you think!

See you soon and happy week!

Hero Arts Coffee Cup with blingy sleeve

Hi,

I don’t usually embellish a lot on my cards, but I figure I should break out from my comfort zone and try it.  I am inspired by this month’s challenge theme:  Embellish It.

embellishment

And this is what I came up with:

a2z_hero_arts_coffee_cup_tag_20161119

My process:

  • Press various distress ink pads on craft sheet and spritz with Perfect Pearl to create shimmery watercolor solution.
  • Press think white card stock onto it, let paper absorb the watercolor.  Let dry.
  • Stamp cup and foam from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag clear set on white card stock with Vintage Photo, heat emboss with clear powder.  Die cut with matching Coffee Cup Tag Frame Cut.
  • Add clear Wink of Stella to foam.
  • Die cut the sleeve using white card stock, trim and shorten.  Use glossy accent to adhere three row of  assorted Hero Arts Dots onto the sleeve leaving a tiny bit room on last row.
  • Stamp holly leaf from the same set with Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive twice each color and die cut.  Adhere assort red bling to them.
  • To ground my coffee, I mean to create a ground to sit my coffee cup :), I stamp the smudged post mark from the Hero Art Vintage Christmas Post clear set with Vintage Photo.
  • Stamp sentiment with Vintage Photo on watercolor panel, heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
  • Adhere coffee cup, foam, sleeve, and holly leaves as shown.

Here’s a couple of close up shots.

Hero Arts Peace Stamp & Cut Die Two Ways

Hi everyone! Helen is here today would like to share with you a quick and fun way creating more than 1 cards with just 1 stamp & cut die set. On my cards today, I used the Hero Arts – Peace Stamp & Cut Die set.

Hero Arts Two Way With Peace Stamp and Cuts Set

I used A2 white cards for the base. First I cut out a piece of patterned paper that will fit on 1 card. I added the die at one the patterned paper where I wanted it to be on this card, then run it through my die cutting machine. With this technique, I had a positive die cut and negative die cut from that patterned paper.

Next step is to create the card using the positive and negative die cuts. I often go with clean-and-simple when it comes to mass-producing cards. So after I added the die cuts, stamping and embossing the sentiments, I simply added some embellishments on the cards. You can use any gems an/or twines on cards to embellish them.

During this season, I am making lots of Holiday cards for friends and families. And for me, I make batch of cards from 1 stamp set, or/and with matching die cut set. One of my favorite sets are Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Die sets. They are sets that including stamps and matching dies. You find them here at the a2z Store. And get 15% OFF for your order of $25 or more by adding this code Helen15 when you checkout. If you do not see any Hero Arts products that you’d like to buy, you can custom order it through a2z Store!

Hero Arts Monthly Challenge

Our November Challenge is all about Embellishments, so I hope these cards today can be an inspiration for you to create projects and link up at our challenge. By linking up, you can win a $25 gift card to the a2z Store.

THANK YOU for visiting today and have a fabulous day!

  3. On a separate piece of card stock stamp the leaves from the stamp set Happy Holly Days using VersaMark and Hero Arst Gold Embossing Powder.
  4. Melt the powder with the heat tool and cut the with the corresponding die cuts.
  5. Decorate the center of the fruits with Red Berry Crystal Drops.
  6. On a separate piece of card stock stamp one of the designs of the cups using Red Royal Shadow Ink for the cup and Forever Green Shadow Ink for the Cap and tag. Both inks are from Hero Arts.
  7. Cut all the stamped pieces using the corresponding die cuts.
  8. Paste the leaves on the left side of the cup using glue dots and the cup on the right side of the card using dimensionals.

Trim a Tree with Hero Arts Fancy Dies

Aloha!  Today I wanted to play with the fun Hero Arts Paper Layering Pine Tree with Frame. This month’s challenge is Embellishment so I went to town with this fun die!!

haa2ztreeembellished

I added Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to random edges of the die for a snow kissed looking tree.  Then added random sized Hero Arts gemstones in Yellow,  Citron, Pale Pink and Light Blue.

The die cut was adhered to a simple pattern paper, die cut on the edges with a criss cross pattern for a subtle embellishment.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Holiday Greetings.

Antique Poinsettia Colored In

I’m featuring The Antique Poinsettia again because it’s a different take on the stamped image than my October 4th card.  I love the die cuts that go with this wood stamp.  It cuts nice and close, perfect for me.  I rarely use stenciling and I’m not sure why because I have some stencils I just love.  I thought the background color was more of a modern take on green.   I also used the outer layer as leaves, where I used all the layers as flower parts before.    The background is the same color, but deepened in the two corners.   Have fun with your layering.

Antique Poinsettia

I thought a close-up might be nice so you can see the silver embossing and the Nuvo Crystal Glitter Drops.  I purchased the Glitter Drops from A2Z, so she might still have some left if you’d like to try them.  You can see how cleanly the dies cut here too.  As I said, I love the close cut.  I’m at A Bit of This and That.

  4. Stamp on the upper part one image from the stamp set Happy Holly Days using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Paint the images with markers.
  5. In a separate piece of very vanilla card stock stamp the same image, paint it with markers and cut with scissors or with the corresponding die cuts. They are Happy Holly Day Frame Cuts.
